I have never felt anyone should be silent...

...my idea of the role of Goverment should be to provide for a strong deffence to the enemies of the constitution forieng and domestic, provide for a good eduaction and equall acess to all levels of the education, for all people, to protect the enviorment, and to protect discrimination in choice of occupation or place to live...

...beyond that in my mind, the goverment has no role...

...the goverment has no role in being as a device to promote the moral ideas of any side, including the religious, the athiest, the straights, the gays, what ever...beyond the right to work, education, and housing, they have no right to push religious morals upon people through any institution, yet they have no right to tell any private non profit insitution who to aadmit either...

...it is a balance of freedom, but it is the maximum amount of freedom, it is the only way our attitudes will ever progress and anything will ever change, we will all have to sacrifice something we disagree with, but hey, after we comprimise we can work towards a live and let live attitude through progression and the free flowing ideas which would exist in such a free society...ignorance would weed itself out a quicker pace I feel if goverment was the biastander instead of the instigator...

...while I feel you should not be silent, I feel that the blind support of oneside simply because they promise you everything, and yet have given you so little even if it is more then others, does not help a situation.

...I will coment on the dem.'s simply because this is who you choose to support...

...at this convention they offer up many things, they have liberals like ted kennedy come out and speak to present a notion of liberalism, yet do they truly offer you a choice of people who are liberal at heart, or simply people who talk liberal and really support something else?

..consider the true records of al gore and joe libermen as politicians when they where independent of each other and bill clinton...they where conservitice democrats, and really had a moderate republican stance that was sligtly right of the center...including on many moral issues...

...clinton was another creature all togther, a moderate liberal who talked like a centerist...do not expect a continuation of the clinton era if these two come to power..it will be slightly right...

...do we have hsitorical precedent on this...

...lets consider the last three v.p.'s to come to power...

G.Bush reverted to his more liberal ideas then reagan on all things except the military and the right to life...

G.Ford reverted to his more populist attitude the Nixon on every issue except national defense, and Lyndon B. Jouhnson went far left of Kennedy on management of the social side of goverment, while going wde right of him on the military...

...do not expect such a friendly face in the office from al gore...clinton took him because he was a conservitive on so many issues so that he could not be painted a liberal...this pulled the clinton era to the center a little, while in the senate, libermen was arguably more liberal then gore...
