:
I understand what you are saying and find truth in a great deal of it . Did you know that in the majority of towns and cities in the U.S. it is totally legal to fire or not hire a person simply because he or she is gay or lesbian? Did you know that in most cities and towns in the U.S it is totally legal for a lanlord to refuse to rent to you simply because you are gay or lesbian? Did you know that even after serving for 20 years in the military with the highest of honors that if you admit to being gay or tell someone that you are gay not only are you dishonerably discharged but you loose all the benifits you earned while serving?
:
Did you know that in many states sex between consenting adults of the same sex even in the privacy of their own is not only illegal but often considered a felony with up to 20 years jaii time? Did you know that not only are these laws still on the books in many states but they are still being enforced ? The supreme court in the 1980's even upheld the individual states rights to do this and upheld a sentance of 20 years in jail for a man having intercourse with another man.
:
The case involved a Georgia man who was having sex with his boyfriend in the privacy of there own home and the police who entered the house for a totally different reason suprised and caught the couple having intercourse and then charged them with sodomy and the guy was found guilty and sentanced to 20 years in prison.
:
Do you still feel gays and lesbians should remain silent and good sports keeping the goverment out of these matters and injustices while we patiently wait maybe another couple hundred years for the masses to change their hearts?
