One strange thing about my version of the game was that Gandalf was not one of the players.

There was Frodo, and Sam Gamgee, and Sauron, and the Black Riders, but Gandalf was curiously absent.

The symbolism always being that Gandalf was to be found in the game if one looked at me, having designed the game in such a way to allow the Hobbits to succeed in their humble attempts to destroy the ring in the end.
