Subject: Marty, that is exactly what I'm getting at

You will not see me opening any new positions all summer long. I'm using any rally as an exit stategy and waiting patieintly for the moment when I feel it is safe to take a dip. I will never risk more than 3 points on any one stock. If a falls 3 points, I'm out. If it moves up again, I'm back in. If it's a good company, there will be no rush.
As for shorting, I know how you feel about it, but how many times have you been on the wrong side of it. Shorting is never going away and although we hate the shorts (they are for some reason an ugly species) we sometimes have to follow their lead.
Anyway, what goes up must come down and with any luck what went down will bounce back up. If we are going to enter a time when all companies will be valued at 30x earnings at best, there will be a lot more carnage, but how will all those investment firms and brokerages make the big bucks. They won't! and that's why it will not happen.
My eyes are at their greenest when I cry.
Patty
