Subject: Deja Vu

Anyone remember that nasty CPI last April that knocked the Nas for a loop. Well here it is again! We need to recover, hold the 3500 level and maybe it will happen if the momentum shorts decide to cover for the weekend. Next week should bring about better days. (I hope) But it will be rocky for a while, up an down, up and down, all summer. At the end of April we enter into an information vacuum and will probably head nowhere fast. The good news is, there seems to be plenty of room for a summer rally which I will be using to unload everything and wait patiently to buy for the Winter 2000. I've come to the conclusion that investing is only fruitful for 2 months out of the year. The rest of the time, you better get out of the way or learn how to play short. If I had held my ISLD short at 113, INSP 168, and CMGI at 123, I would be sitting pretty, but everyone told me that I was crazy.
