Subject: Backs up, waving his hands sumbissivly to the girls...

"Na-ah. That was NOT passionate," he says to the girls. "That's called friendly greeting, as far as some people are concerned." He liked Niome as a friend, but Kyna, well, lets say she had already got him tumbling. A shriek comes from one end of the stable, followed by rapid kicking. Briar curses; he had left Ahote, a skitish black nightmare in the far stall when he had entered. He turns and moves quickly to the end of the stable, opening the stall door. "Easy, easy" he whispers, dodging a wild blow from the stallions hoof. A muffled 'ouch' comes from the stall; he hadn't move fast enough and the horse had cliped his shoulder. The stallion slams the stall door, splintering it and escaping into a small paddock, Briar half way up on his side. He drops off and the stallion slides to a stop, coming back towards him. He raises his hands, still whispering, "Easy boy, easy,". Finally the horse calms slightly and Briar approaches, stroking his forehead warily as the horse skitters to the side at fast movments of tree leaves, etc. While the stallion is unharmed Briar got a small nick on his shoulder. He stood with the big, black mount, still talking softly to him.
