Her grip on the reins tightens. The dread of being bucked off and breaking bones was lingering in her mind. But her trust for the horse and the grit to gallop was even greater. Annie takes a deep breath as she gave Rhuen a firm kick while steadily trotting, an awkward stop, and then progressively gaining speed. She slows down. Annie exclaims, “I can’t do it, maybe, if I get more experience and more practice.” She sighs, “I’ve only been out here for a day, I can’t just leap up and gallop like that.” She slowly dismounts Rhuen and guides her into her stall. She walks up to Miv and Anclaire, “I have to go, the bakery needs me, pop around sometimes!” She is about to leave she says, “Maybe, if I have free time, I can watch you arch, Anclaire, don’t forget that!”
