Subject: Are AGMA allowables valid for 3d contact analysis?

With 3D contact analysis becoming more prevalent, is there room for adjusted allowables higher than AGMA 2101 provides? I assume the AGMA 2101 allowables were developed for comparison against AGMA 2001 formula calculations for bending and contact stress 'numbers'. These formulas use a single KHbeta number rather than a discretized mesh model. Is there a resource which suggests recommended “adjusted allowables” when one is looking at a 3D contact analysis?
