Subject: Aisling enters, trailing behind Penhurst.

Walking over to one of the many stone benches lining the walls, she sits down, setting her staff beside her. With a visible sigh of relief, she sheds her boots, and begins to roll up her trousers to her knees so they won't trip her while in practice. Once that wass done, she unbuckled the belt and began to untie the laces at the top of her vest. "So," she said, somehow managing not to look at Penhurst while not seeming to avoid looking in the first place. "Do you want to start with the quarterstaff, or the blades?"

        good, good. but, that was a bit slow. if I had been attacking you, that would never have really stopped me. and don't expose yourself like you did here. keep in your range, and don't expose yourself.         good, you are a quick learner. good good. watch your weight shift, it slows you down. you need to do it more fluidly. and watch your how you hold my blade back.         Suprised at the double attack, Aisling blocks one swipe, but somehow misjudges something on the second. With a soft exclamation and a sharp intake of breath, the draws back and drops her knife, nursing a bleeding hand. (NT) -- Aisling, 22:09:47 01/13/03 Mon

She grimaces at him. "Enough? We just barely started. I'm fine, really. It's just a little scratch. However," she added, with a rueful grin, "maybe we had better use the practice swords from now on." Celi had been watching the two. When she saw Aisling get hurt, she got worried and jumped out of the pool. "Oh, are you ok?" But then she noticed Penhurst nursing her hand. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interfere. It's just that when anyone gets hurt it makes me jumpy... I had a bad experience... oh, I'm sorry, sometimes I just talk and talk forever. - "Interesting," she says in response to his talk of his swords. She sheathes her long knife, and selects a few swords, trying them out for balance, before settling on a short sword. She returned to the area they had been before, and flashed a warm smile at Celi. "I'm fine." She holds up her bandaged had. "But thanks anyway. Oh, my name is Aisling. What is yours?"
