Author: Xephella
Subject: +The recreational room was very near abandoned, the reason being the time of night. There were only two there at the moment, a girl swimming and another figure an the opposite end of the hall. This woman was deep in concentration, a short sword in hand. Any who happened to be watching would have a hard time recognizing the woman as the youngest member of the Council.+

+She was wearing the clothing of a common citizen, her tunic loosely bound about her waste with a brown sash, her under-jerkin of light materials, and the robe that designated her as a member of the Council was folded neatly on the floor nearby. Xephella's sword weaved about in a seemingly random pattern, the blade flicking forward occasionally to dispatch unseen foes. She made little sound as she practiced, her breathing even and her pace measured. Her body moved gracefully in combination with the weapon, her barefeet gliding over the smooth stone floor with practiced ease. Gradually, her pace quikened and the sword moved faster and faster, soon becoming a glinting blur in the dim light of the corner she was working in. Sweat began to trickle down her brow and neck. With every main swing of her sword she uttered a soft "Ha!" The woman didn't often come and hone her skills in the recreation hall as the Council work became more pressing, but she came this night to ease her stiff muscles and take her mind off of her problems. The practice seemed to lessen her stress (something that was becoming worse and worse). At length, her speed began to dissapear, and she slowed down, cooling down her heated muscles. Finally, she stopped all together, her sword dangling motionless at her side. Panting, Xeph just stood, eyes closed. After a moment, she sheathed the shortsword in a scabbard she had laid next to her robes, wiped off the sweat on her face and neck, and slipped back into the robes. Feeling much better, she stooped down and picked up the scabbard and quietly left the room, her barefeet making no sound as she exited.+
