Subject: Quick dip

Jiirdrian stopped by the pool and peered into the clean water. He jumped into the water, and found that it was colder than he thought it should be for this late in the afternoon in the spring, but it subsided quickly, and he began to enjoy the cold water. He reached over to his tobacco pouch, and took out his pipe, and stuffed the tobacco in it. He put the pipe in his mouth, and eased into the water up to his chin. He noticed a piece of dried reed on the cavern floor near the pool. the wind buffeted it near him, and he grasped it firmly, and gave it a sniff, and tasted it. He then spat on the bank, and began to look arround the bottom of the pool for the halfling's body. He jumped out of the water and gave the entire pool a good look to see if the halfling had fallen in and drowned. He was happy to see that he wasn't there, but he lost all interest in his quick dip. he lit up his pipe and puffed it several times before putting his mismatched guantlets back on his slender hands, and he left in search of Glenn.
