He looks at Imaran intently. "It's Crystaline's birthday today, and since she doesn't exactly have a father available... I guess I had better ask you." He took a deep breath. "I want to take Crystaline's hand in marriage. I want to propose to her today, since it /is/ her birthday." He waited for Imaran's answer with baited breath.
