Adwen shuts everyone else out by raising an opened book and fiercely pretending to read, though in reality her eyes were merely skimming over the same meaningless words over and over again. Rustam responds by turning to stare at the fire, which has begun to burn a little low. Rustam's mother sighs and says, "I'm so sorry, Lily..." but is interrupted as Rustam stands and heads toward the kitchen, mumbling, "Should prolly bring in some more firewood..." Lily didn't want to be left alone here. She felt ackward. She also thought it would be rude to follow Rustam out though so she kept put.
