Subject: 10 Things Massillon never knew about Canton McKinley

10. Canton McKinley does not believe in polls, unlike the Tigers.
9. Canton McKinley unlike the Tigers have never had problems with Catholic schools (through 1997 to 2001, the Bulldogs are 12-3 vs. Catholic schools and in title playoff games are 3-0 vs. Catholic schools where Massillon is 0-3.
8. Canton McKinley beat the highest ranked team in the nation in Stark in 1996.....that was.....Massillon, #2 in the nation, nailed 21-0....at PAUL BROWN TIGER STADIUM!!!!!
7. Paul Brown Tiger Stadium was not ranked in the top 100 high school stadiums nationwide, where Fawcett was ranked second out of 100 high schools!
6. Canton McKinley people take time out to talk to the players and coaches....while Massillon citizens stalk coaches and players after a loss to Canton McKinley.
5. Canton McKinley pulled more basketball upsets than Massillon has in Stark this year, including a 67-59 romp over the vaunted Tigers, propelling McKinley's third Final Four run in five years!
4. How many players does Massillon have in the NBA and the NFL compared to Canton McKinley? None, I assume.
3. Dennis Miller, the Catholic comedian who is the soul and pride of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and host of HBO's "Dennis Miller Live" praised Fawcett for its tradition during his two years on ABC's "Monday Night Football". Did Paul Brown Tiger Stadium get any props? In the words of Miller, "Now I don't want to get off on a rant here but......" PBTS did not get no props from Miller!
2. All along while the state of Ohio was intimidated by Massillon's 22 Ohio State Titles, I have one question: Why don't I see on the scoreboard at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium: 22 TIMES OHIO DIVISION I STATE CHAMPIONS??? Were those Division II, III, or whatever division titles they were? The scoreboard does not tell what division those 22 titles were, how do I know they were REAL titles? And the #1 thing Massillon never knew about Canton McKinley was.....................
1. CANTON MCKINLEY HIGH SCHOOL OWNS 32 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!!!! CLEVELAND ST. IGNATIUS IS A DISTANT SECOND, AND MASSILLON IS.............LAGGING ALONG WITH......0 TITLES!!!!!!! GO BULLDOGS!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. I offered up some dream matches for high school fans involving 4 state REAL championship teams. Here are the teams:
Match 1 at Fawcett: Parma Padua (1979) vs. Canton McKinley (1997, 1998)
Match 2 at Paul Brown Stadium: Cleveland St. Ignatius (1999) vs. Warren Harding (1990)

Four dominating teams. Who will walk with the Sultan's title of "most dominating team?" Send your reoplies if you wish. The results will be posted tomorrow. GO BULLDOGS!!!!
