Okay, to start, dragons die if the aren't Impressed at Hatching. The suicide. Another, dragons don't read minds. They comunicate telepathically to only their Impressed. There is no magic on Pern. At all. Also, dragons aren't wired to play any instrument. It isn't in their capabilities. All dragons fight Thread. They rarely fight each other. In fact, never, unless their cause is just. Like a queen egg being stolen, such as in The White Dragon.
