Personality- Well, it's a baby. He's a really quiet babay most of the time, and isn't usually too much trouble. Likes to sleep.

Personality- She is very quiet, but doesn't always sleep like her brother. She likes to just lay down and watch everything around her.

History-
Well, it's a bit strange, but Cartith was married very young at his hold, for some unknown reasons. When he had to leave, he had to leave his wife, who was so mad she 'divorced' him, so to speak. One year later, he finds out that she died, and left his two three-month old children behind. He came and took them to the Weyr, a bit embarressed. They'd never planned that to happen before he left. Now, he has a bit trouble taking care of them. They're on the bottle, but he must carry them around either in his arms, or in little carrying bag-type things he made himself, one going like a backpack, the other in the front just like it. he has his hands full taking care of them, but no one offered to help, so he's trying his best.

appearance: He is very tall, about 6'4, with black hair to his shoulders. His skin is very deep bronze, much like that color dragon's hide. This comes from being in the sun so long. His eyes are a bit strange. They are silvery. That is the only way to describe their color. Not blue, silver. But, it is very strange to look into his eyes. It makes you feel as though he's looking into your very soul. They seem calm, understanding, yet at the same time cold, flashing dangerously, deadly... His whole appearance makes him look quite dangerous. He is the kind of person not many can stay with, because he has a tense air about him, as if you are face to face with a wild wolf. It makes most people uneasy, even scared.

personality: he has a lone-wolf personality. He never got along well with people. They were all pretty scared of him, to tell you the truth. They never trusted him. He had to live alone the last 7 years, for no one trusts him. But, if you could only trust him, you'd think it was so strange none liked him. He is very protective, with a kind of wolfish nature. He'll do anything to protect the ones who will actually dare approach him. If you are his friend, you would never have to worry about being attacked! He is very sweet, too. He'll help others whenever he can. His all around being reminds others of wolves, which earned him the nickname "Lone Wolf".

skills: He is a good singer, his song as enticing as the wolf's howl, so to speak. No one every really hears him sing, though. Animals get along very well with him, as they kinda consider him one of them with his animalish ways. Flits seem to trust him above all others. He is also a pretty good healer, as his parents were. He cannot sail very well, but is the master when it comes to means of defense. Sword, knife, any weapon you could imagine he could wield. He doesn't enjoy fighting other people, however. His skills usually come in handy when he hunts, as he usually doesn't eat at the Weyr; he prepares his own food. Not like anyone would sit with him anyway. He is a good runner handler, and hopes that would help him ride a dragon one day. It's his greatest dream to be a dragonrider. He also wouldn't mind a few flits!

Appearance: He is pretty tall for his age. He has long, silky, silvery-white hair down past his back to about his upper leg. Because of this, he has a slight feminine appearance, and is sometimes mistaken for a girl. It often gets him very annoyed. His eyes are a very beautiful shade of yellow-brown, soft and understanding at times. He has a very calm appearance, which many people grow to really like and hang around him as much to calm themselves down as to talk. His eyes are sad, however, and no one really knows why. His skin is pretty pale, though he spends a lot of time outside.

Personality: He is very calm, almost emotionless, which he can be at times. He seems to understand the impossible, which leads many people to trust him. His masculine and feminine sides make it so either gender can be around him with ease. His feelings are addictive. He is almost always calm, and his presence helps others to calm. Some call him an angel; others say that is the last thing he was. He has another side. Sometimes, he can be colder as ice, and give you a stare that means death if you don't leave him right then. This side of him is revealed only to the ones who cannot go through his little shield and become his friend, but try anyway, despite his warnings that they are just annoying him. Either a great guy or one who scares you easily. Which one varies with who you are. Secretly, he is very depressed, very scared. He has lost much. No one really knows why he always has that depth of sadness in his eyes.

Skills: He is probably the best healer you could ever get with his calm air about him. He just seems to know exactly what you need when sick, externally or internally. Some believe it may have something to do with his permanent wounds in his heart, which have never healed. He also has a voice range from 2nd tenor to 1st soprano without a single crack, no matter what time of day or how tired he is. He is also a good runner handler, though not the best with a boat. He is a superb fighter, which you may learn the hard way if you see his true dark side, which none have seen yet, thankfully. Really, he is pretty good at anything he tries.

Personality Nice, but has a grumpy shell that has grown from being belittled all the time because of her height. She really is nice, you just have to gain her trust.
Appearance as I said, small, but wears a lovely sky-blue dress. In winter, she wears dark blue, like a Southern Belle's dress, with a black hood over it. If you look closely, she has edged it with wherry down. She has long(well, for her) reddish hair hat has a touch of gold from hours spent in the sun.
Other Made a small kiyak, and uses it often. She befriended a brown flit(not Impressed, just befriended!), who will let her get on his back, so the source of the lovely soprano can be heard. He never sticks around for long, though. (If anyone has a problem with this, again. I will be flexible.)
Skills Comelia has beautiful embriodery. She does intricate patterns, and has captured the exact moment Impression was made in a dragon queen, with her rider. However, one needs a magnifying glass, or something similar, to see it.
Miscellaneous Wants to have a flit, all colors would be great. Once had a tiny canine, but she ran away�

Appearance Wears tall, knee-legnth boots, slightly longer trousers, and a loose tunic. Slightly past shoulderlegnth black hair, usually tied back.
Personality Little surly, but is gentle
Occupation Runnerherding. He has twoscore of runners, and among those, half-dozen elegantly bred riding types.
He lives in a meadow, with a cave right next to it, as protecion from Threadfall. A tall, shaggy canine helps him hunt for wherries, and keeps the spit turning whilst he whittles, or fashions bridles. He never uses a saddle, but the ease of which he mounts, and dismounts makes you think that he has an invisible saddle.
Diet Mainly Wherry, but often crevice/tunnel snakes. They threaten his herd, and with two or three always expecting at a time, he can't afford to have them killed. His twoscore is mares; he has two more, a rangy stallion, and a spirited gelding. He locks them in a smaller valley off to one side of the meadow. They have their ow chamber in the cave. ACtually, the gelding could stay with the mares, but the stallion goes a little nutso without company.
Skills besides runnertending Well, Tiesh carves bone and wood well, his leatherworking skills are superb, and he can see a lame creature with half an eye, in ten seconds.
Other Can be found riding one of the half dozen riding mares. If it's not Kiesh, it's Duzu. Or Rambi. Or driving/trickriding Rini and Frondi. He often rides spirited Rethell trough the woods, and takes only her in hunts. The gelding, Keli, is good for keeping Trumble in line during any ride.

Appearance Golden red hair, longer than the floor,
so she braids it, snd then rolls the braids around her head, like a crown. She wears a shirt that is too short, so it does not quite meet her pants, in fact, it misses by five inches. Her pants are of the darkest black, and they stop mid-calf. Her boots are regularly colored, and start at her ankle. She has eyes like the sea after a storm, and a complexion no one can describe.
Personality Cara is sweet, out going, but not easy to persuade. She can lash out with words that cut, or words thsat are more soothing that the coldest ice pack on the hottest fever.
Is described as An angel
Other Has a blood red runner, with a black mane and tail. She named her Bay. Cara also has a small canine named Finch. Occasionally, a little yellow bird comes out of the forest, and perches on her shoulder.
Cara adopted a watch-wher, and keeps it to protect herself at night. She named it Flo, never minding what others said. She left him in her claimed cave, and barricades the entrance.
She has a whole wall full of the old Records, she is constantly studying them.
History(As told by Cara) I was born on a small island. I lived half my ife there, before I moved here, at Six. We came to Benshing Island in the spring. My mom, and later my dad, were taken from me by something. My dad, B'nederra, is now back, but my mom is still missing.
Also, by the time the next clutch is layed, she will be a candidate.

Appearance Short, thick blond hair, green eyes. As a child, a hot coal was dropped on her neck. She never lost that red mark on her neck. She has a long, shallow knife cut on her left palm, as she slipped once while removing a bloodfish from her dolphin. Her right arm is a lacework of Threadscores, and is badly formed at the elbow (she broke that arm as a baby, and it didn't grow back straight.)
Dolphin Tera Trained to be the Tillek, is the wisest dolphin.
History(told by Odette)
I was born on a boat. I was taken in as a Healer apprentice early, and was finishing my Mastery exams at age twenty. However, part of the test was to treat a dolphin pod for a sevenday. One calf was badly injured and needed constant care. Before I was done, I had become Tera's Dolphineer.
Odette lives on a flat bottom barge, with a hut barely large enough for a large barrel of numbweed, many aqua lungs, her two spare wetsiuts, her glass mask, and spare knives. She has a pair of trousers, and a tunic for when she must be on land.

Appearance: A halo of soft curls escapes Erza's waist-length braid to frame a heart shaped face dominated by wide dark eyes. A splash of golden freckles dots the winter-pale skin of her nose and cheeks. Slightly taller than average, she is slender and graceful, with unexpected strength. Erza wears a soft, longsleeved tunic the color of new leaves, gathered at the waist by a sturdy wherhide belt. Dark brown trousers are tucked into supple wherhide boots, obviously well-worn but carefully maintained.
Personality: Unknown to you people. But I'll elaborate a bit, Erza can be somewhat cold to new people, though she desperately wants to make friends deep down. She's just your average pretty girl with no self-esteem. However, once you penetrate the cold exterior and make a friend of the girl, you'll be mighty glad you did. She's a laugh to be around, filled with an abundance of sarcasm and pranks. So don't let the glares get you down, she's interiorly full of love!
Skills: Cooking, Cleaning, Sewing...your average drudge, though she possesses a rather odd influence with a homemade flute. She plays a pretty tune now and then.

I am about 24. I have sweepthefloor red hair. My complexion is clear, and I have green eyes. I usually wear a long purple skirt, and a form fitting white tunic. I also usually have a shawl knotted around my waist. I am married, and have two children. @hense(Athense) is my husband. He is 25, and has shoulderlegnth blond/black hair. His eyes are blue. His usual garb is black pants, dark blue tunic, sword at one side. He is an excellent fighter.
My oldest daughter's name is Faini. She is 10, and has a youngish runner. She named her Caril. She has hair like mine, though not as long, and wears things similar to what I wear, minus shawl, and blue instead of purple. She has green eyes.
Manethenre is 8, and blind. She has a team of canines, and a placid runner. She has hair so black that in the right light, it looks blue. She likes to wear white, for she is told it matches her team of animals. Her skin is dark, like her father's, and she relies completely on her trained canines. because she is blind, she has a very accute sense of hearing.
Both M@henerr-a and @hense are candidates. They have arranged for their children be watched by Cometer, M@henerrr-a's niece.

Appearance: Not at all what you�d expect of a guy who abandoned his pregnant girlfriend and refused to have anything to do with their son. His eyes are soft, gentle, and innocent blue, his hair black, and his face so childish and trusting that no one would ever suspect him of any evil, or any meanness. He is, indeed, incredibly gentle, and kind. However, for almost ten years now, he�s been out in the backwoods of nowhere, hiding his face from civilization since he lost his nerve after one stupid mistake and abandoned his girlfriend, Tsuga, who he�d found out was with child. Ashamed and unable to show his face, he fled to the woods and hasn�t come out since. He�s average-height, and average build; about like a football player, you could say.

Personality: Well, what can you say? He�s haunted every day by the face of the girl he abandoned, and thoughts of who is child is and if they live, and if the girl still lives, and whatnot. But he�s finally put it behind himself � or so he thinks � enough to move on and return to life. Not many people remember him now, anyways; or so he hopes. He�s very kind, gentle, but almost painfully shy. He won�t start a conversation with anyone, but if spoken to, he�ll talk. His voice is always soft tones; never has anyone heard it risen in anger or anything other than joy. If asked who they thought would abandon someone in need, the LAST person anyone would pick from a lineup would be this guy.

My name is Hythe. Well, that's what my foster mother named me, my mom named me Sahedrin. I have been on this planet for 14 turns. I have long, brown hair. My skin is an olive color. My eyes are the strangest part of me. I have blue eyes, with purple tones, with wisdom that indicates beyond my years.

Rena has long, black/blue hair that flows behind her, ending just above her waist. She always ties her hair behind her, keeping it out of her face. Two small curls spill down in front of her ears, brushing her small, narrow girlish shoulders. Lavender eyes radiate clearly from her face, showing a soft, calm look to the short, dwarf-sized girl. The eyes are big, and well suited for the owner. Her eyes sparkle and shine with wonder, happiness and curiosity all fused together, creating Rena. Her face is slightly round with squirrel-like cheeks tigned with a red hue. Her skin is a tanned color, darker then a normal peachy one, but not too dark.
Her frame has a willowy look to it, and has an appearance of a fragile girl. Her arms are long and skinny, and matches with her frame perfectly. Only one bracelet hangs around her thin wrist, and it's topped with a topaz jewel on the gold band. A silver-chained necklace hangs loosely around her elegant neck, making her nec seem a bit longer then usual. She has a hyperactive energy, and will use it non-stop. She is currnetly wearing a blue shirt and black trousers, giving her a tomboyish appearance...since she is anyways. The shirt is soft to the touch and grazes lightly against her smooth skin.

Personality:
She can never stand being a gauche type of person, and doesn't like to trip and fall flat on her face. she is very graceful and if she wasn't, she'd be pretty festerd. She hates to harry other but loves to make friends with others, whether they are mean or nice.
She is sometimes a gregarious type of person and doesn't mind if she has company, but sometimes she will be by herself. Rena loves to eat, and I mean she loves to eat, but will be polite and not gorge herself flat out in front of everyone.
She's very quiet and shy, but will talk when called upon to do so.
Her love for jewelry is pretty little, but she does wear them, just not as much.

Appearance:
He has raven black hair that stops above his shoulders. Banes cover some of his eyes, but not enough to bother him. They are feathery in appearance and are very soft to the touch. A blue tinge appears when they are exposed to the sunlight. His eyes are emerald with a very slight tinge of chocolate brown in it. The shapes of his eyes are slightly bigger then the almond-shaped one�s, but are still slightly narrow.
His height is 5'6ft tall, and is very skinny, yet lean. The arms are long, reaching all the way to the mid-thigh, and his legs are also long and not as lanky looking as you would expect. His shoulders are still quite narrow, but will be broad, I hope.
His face is slightly round, and smooth looking, since he is still in his early teens. The face looks like a fox, and seems to have a sly, sneaky appearance sometimes. Not a single pimple or a blackhead scars his small face. His ears are small, round and connected with a dull point at the tip, but not like an elves. The neck is quite long, about a few centimeters longer then the normal neck should be.
Right now he is wearing a white shirt and a blue pants, which makes him look even younger. His skin hue is that of a creamy white color instead of the albino, although he is pretty close to that color.
He doesn�t wear a single jewelry, since they make a whole lot of noise when he moves, and it bothers him so. He always straightens his hair and keeps it neat and clean, for he hates it when it is messy and unkept.

Personality:
He is very quiet and shy, and is not as outgoing as he should be. He tends to avoid talking to someone, but will when he has too. He likes to eat, but he is very picky with what he eats. He gets pretty scared when he is talking in front of thousands of people�s, lets call it stage fright or something close to it. Claustrophobic�yep, he�s on of them, though not as serious. He gets really shy when someone asks a question, but he�s trying pretty hard to break that habit as soon as he can, before it becomes a problem. An active body�he�s one of them and you can�t seem to keep up with him, for he moves around a lot with super sonic speed, especially for those long legs of his.
Books and some other scholarly stuff interests him, and you will sometimes see him walking around carrying a book(s). He doesn�t play as much, but he can handle being around children easily, since he grew up with two younger siblings. A smart-mouthed, and an intelligent kid, he goes far with sarcasm and silly jokes, even if they are stupid and doesn�t make sense period. Hibernation to his warm, soft bed is what he likes but he will get and go in a flash, for he is a very active person and has to move around a lot. He loves to stay in warm weather, and really doesn�t like it when it�s cold or super hot.
He is animal friendly, and cares for them a lot, whether they are ugly or cute, he loves them. He works especially hard for what he wants to achieve and is a very determined person, with a positive attitude. He has no negative opinions about himself most of the time, but he will think badly about himself when he�s mad. When he�s mad, he tends to throw anything that his hand comes in contact with, but don�t worry, he rarely explodes with spurts of anger and hate for himself or for someone else. He, as we call it, can charm a bird right out of a tree and can be quite a charmer, and will use it at all costs, even if it sometimes gets him a smack, but not all the time, mind you.

Physical Appearance: If a human could be dragonlike, Leviathan is that human. She is tall and lithe, and if her body would ever stand straight she'd be almost cylindrical. Her arms and legs are willowy, her fingers long and thin and her palms almost as narrow. Her back has almost no curve to it, though how that's possible is anyone's guess, as she is always slouching.
Her face is completely reptilian, with narrow eyes, bright gold catlike pupils, and a flat nose with slits for nostrils. Her skin is not pale but not dark, somewhere in the middle, about the same texture as a dragon's hide. Her hair is long and beautiful, cascading gracefully over her shoulders and ending just above her feet.
Leviathan usually only wears clothes in the colors of dragons: it is a rare surprise to see her wear anything different. Never a fan of dresses and skirts, she does wear them when needed, though "needed" doesn't apply very often. Instead she wears trousers and a specially-designed tunic that has fabric attached beneath the sleeves of the garment: her "wings".

Personality: Shady and quiet, Leviathan rarely speaks. Rumor has it that the longest conversation she ever had with someone was ten words. She perfers solitude over anything. The reason of her spearation from the rest of humanity is unknown, but some think that she actually believes herself a dragon. Her usual response to someone speaking to her is either shying away or ignoring them, or both. She always has an indifferent expression on her face, and has never been known to show emotion. Her voice, while strangely beautiful, is in almost complete monotone as well, so if she even has emotion it is impossible to tell.

Skills: Though a poor reader, her arithmitic is wonderful and she is a hard-worker, never questioning orders, only executing them to perfection.

I have been here 15 turns

I have black hair with red highlights down to my thighs. I got the highlights naturally! I am kind of short, though. I have bronze like skin from being in the sun. My eyes are a dark shade of emerald green, which is almost black, but in a very attractive way. I�ve always loved my eyes.

I am very kind. I was always helping nurse injured riders at the Weyr. I am a forever friend- I never leave someone unless they tell me in the face that they hate me and never want to see me again, and mean it. I am very tender-hearted, too. I tend to take things too seriously sometimes, though. But I�m altogether a joy to be around.

I am a great rider. Ever since I was five the riders let mrider their dragons. I loved it. I rode every color, except two. Never did I ride a bronze or queen. I�m not really worthy, really. Though, I am also a good singer, healer, and runner beast handler. I have a lower voice, pretty much a 2nd alto or maybe I fit in better with the tenors! I love dragons the most, though, and hope to impress.

A bit of history:
My mother is Anne, from Xanadu, though she was transferred here. My father was a blue rider. His blue had caught her green, Runith, back in Xanadu. Thus, I was born. I decided to leave with my mother instead of stay with my father, though. I enjoy spending time with my Aunt and Uncle, Danny and Daniel, because they�re near my age. Only three turns older!

I would LOVE to impress, but only greens for me1 I don�t think I could ever be that worthy of becoming a queen rider, and don�t really want to mess with the problem of a clutching queen! Appearance: He has short, black hiar with a purle tinge when he is in the sunlight. He has alot of baines that cover half of his eyes, and they are pretty much everywhere when he wakes up, so he spends alot of time fixing it. The ends of his hair, and baines reaches to the tops of his shoulders. His eyes are almond shaped with red/brown hues.
His face is a bit roundish and has connected, slightly pointy ears, but not like an elves. He is skinny, but lean, and doesn't look like a whimp. He is pretty tall, reaching to about 5"8ft. His arms and legs are also long for a boy like him. He looks like a trouble maker, but honestly, he's not.

I am pretty tall, above the average. I have black hair, which goes a little past my shoulders. My eyes are a soft blue. My skin is tannish. I look all right for someone with long hair! ^-^

I look pretty tough on the outside, and even act like that towards people who have a problem with my little brother, Kento. I am really very nice, and a person who is a joy to be around. I kind of bring happiness to all that know me well!

I am a great rider, on runners. I always wanted to ride a dragon, and it�s my dream to ride a bronze. My brother would rather suit me with a brown, though. He says he doesn�t like me riding something TOO big. ^-^ We really worry about each other, though I think Kento should get a bronze. I am also a good Harper, but I don�t usually play for anyone, while Kento is always begging me to play the guitar while he sings.

I got my hair color from my mother, while Sokil got his from his biological mother, who died long ago. He doesn�t say much of her. But, anyway, I have near-white skin, and deep red eyes. I�m what you may call an albino person. But, I am told I look quite handsome, despite my size.

I look tough at times, but sometimes my true colors show, as I am a little guy with a big heart. I�m a real softy, and am very caring. I get worried about Sokil to easily, though. I don�t really want him to ride a bronze, but, if he impressed one, I wouldn�t stop him! He really thinks I should have one! I would love a bronze, or anything else! But, I am a caring fellow who is a joy to be around.

I am very skilled with runners, maybe even more so than Sokil! I love singing as well. I love to perform for people. I have a very rich, rare soprano voice, and my voice hasn�t changed yet, so I think it may change, but I love my voice! I always try to get Sokil to play guitar. He needs to open up a little, if you know what I mean. I would love to ride a dragon, though�

Her favorite flit colors are gold, blue, and green. She is determined to get at least one of each color. She likes small flits, large ones aren't too high on her favorites list... She aways fixes her hair with a small braid that keeps her hair back, and also looks like a tiara.
When she can, Nerilki inserts daisies into her braid. Or some other white flower.
Skills Sews all of her own clothes, and embroiders them, too. She usually embroiders Flits, and has done a perfect reenactment of a gold flight. Can train canines to trust the sound of her voice. She has two female canines, one named after the Weyrwaomn, Ginny, and another named after her best friend, Fern.
Miscellaneous Nerilki speaks in a musical, soft voice. She is a light soprano, and has been described as having a 'silver voice'. Her walk is graceful, and makes her look like she's floating.
Hobbies Besides sewing and training, Nerilki enjoys swimming. She is very skilled at it, and can dive like a dolphin. She also practices being a lady, sitting up straight, holding things properly, not raising her voice... She really is a lady. Nerilki can tell what herbs would be most helpful for anything. She has a little garden that she goes to for her herbs.

Appearance: Ryuhajari has already gotten a fair bit of his height and is still growing, but is exceedingly thin and lanky. His russet hair is cut unevenly at his shoulder with his blade, and his green eyes, once bright, are now dark... with only shadow behind them. He generally wears black wher-hide pants and a green vest, and wears his mothers old dragon necklace, the only thing found of hers after the storm.
Personality: Ryu is silent. Completely silent. It's hard to cope when your parents are both suddenly struck down at such a young age, as well as all the other parental figures you ever known. He suffered from sudden spells of aggressino, and was sent away to live with a small FisherCraft family for ahwile. There, Ryu learned patience, and how to control his emotions. However, Ryu knew that he had to return to New Isle as soon as he was deemed stable... and does so now. He wants to follow in their footsteps.
Skills: He's got a few boating skills, courtesy of the time spent with the fishermen, and he also can swim exceedingly well. He's also has medical skill with any animal, be it land beast or dragon, as he loves them and when she was alive, Ginny taught him a great amount of what she knew... and he's had a great amount of experience with his three flits: Brown Cargan, Bronze Ajax, and Green Vylla... all of which are very faithful... and Ryu's only true friends at the moment.

Name: Trag

Gender: M

Appearance: Trag looks much like his mother. He is only nine, but already he is pushing almost six feet tall. He, too, is all jutting angles and skin and bones covered in wiry muscle. His hair is the same muddy-dirt-brown color as hers, and he wears it short. His eyes, too, are just like hers, as is his nose and the shape of his face.

Personality: Yes, Trag looks like a younger, male version of his mother with no sword or knife. However, here the similarities end, save for the stubbornness of both. Unlike Tsuga, Trag loves all living creatures, including dragons, fire lizards, watchweyrs, and people. Everything, that is, except runnerbeasts. He has an absolute phobia of the things, though no one knows why. He�s very cheerful and outgoing, and speaks to anyone. He�d never hurt a fly, as it�s an animal, and he�s neither submissive nor a troublemaker. He�s scrappy, though; anyone that talks bad about him or his hold, or anything else he cares about gets into a fistfight with him, most usually. Though that doesn�t happen often, and HE never starts the fights, though he almost always finishes them. He was abandoned at birth, left at a Hold, and he grew up on his own, though all of the hold women considered him a son, and cared for him. He loved the hold, but he�s always, always dreamed of being a Dragonrider. So, was it any surprise that the very first year he was of age to possibly Impress, he had come running to the Sands, Searched or not?

History:(just for the hey of it) As I�ve said, he�s the 9-turn-old son of Tsuga. She was 16 when she had him, and abandoned him at birth; an unwanted bastard-child. He never knew his real mother. The people she left him with, though, were very kind and brought him up right, though he�s always held a grudge against his parents for abandoning him. Other than that, though, he�s had a pretty normal childhood, and has his �fathers� and �mothers� blessings to come to attempt to Impress when he is old enough, to bring honor to his family, whether he�s truly of their blood or not. Basically, he�s fostered at the Weyr.

Skills: Well, umm�Fistfights, animal care, and just about anything that�s ever been helpful to anyone. His many �mothers� taught him to sew, mend, tend the food and the gutting of fish and the glows, his �fathers� taught him to mend nets, catch fish, and sail. His �brothers� taught him how to stick up for himself, and his �sisters� taught him how to dance. Everyone taught him to be himself. So�yeah. But he�s never held a knife or a sword in his life. Not in self-defense, that is. Or for any other reason save to look at it, or for slicing food.

Other: He is Tsuga�s �bastard-son�. She had him at 16, and abandoned him because he was what he was. And this IS Tsuga, so I know it�s ok w/ me that I join a relative of m� charry. k? k.

Appearance
Average. Markku is average in everything, from his average height to his average hair (brown) to his average eyes (also brown). There�s a sprinkling of freckles across his nose and cheeks, but many people have that as well and it�s not really anything to brag about. The only thing about Markku that stands out is his foot, which is normally bound up so that Markku doesn�t actually have to look at it. When he does take the bandage off of it, it shows a foot that won�t really be fully functional again. There are angry red lines criss-crossing the top of his foot, while the bottom is so mutilated that it�s gone permanently numb, and Markku never even looks at it. For that reason he carries a small cane, which is cleverly disguised to look like the sort of weapon a 14-year-old child adores. He�s normally dressed in clothing that hints that he�s rather well off, although he tries to disguise it, and his posture and mode of speaking tend to give away that upbringing as well.

Personality
The only real reason that Markku is anywhere near the weyr is that he�s going through his �deny all authority� stage. When he�s not being pushed by his testosterone to reject anything or anyone in power, Markku is generally agreeable, as long as the things he�s being asked to do make sense. Not one to follow directions blindly, he�ll at least stop and consider his assignment before finishing it. It�s also rather surprising that he�s lived this long, considering his constant mood swings that vary anywhere from homicidal rage to a tenderness equaled only by mothers for their newborn young. Also rather territorial, Markku gets more than just a little mad when he sees someone as infringing upon his personal space, another trait that�s likely to go away as he gets older and less prone to jump to conclusions. Despite his age, Markku is rather terrified of girls, which makes sense to someone that knows his history but seems out of place for an adolescent boy.

Skills
Unlike many, Markku can read and do basic math. He used to be able to ride almost anything, but is now mostly confined to walking � er, limping � around. He can dagger fight if necessary, but isn�t very good at it since he can�t dodge or weave like he used to be able to. He also used to be an apprentice bard, although that�s normally hidden. The only weapon that he�s any good with anymore is a sling, which he can use with deadly accuracy.

Appearance: Tsuga is a very harsh-looking young woman, looking ten years beyond her age. She has medium-brown hair, cut off abruptly just before sweeping her shoulders, and usually held back out of her face in some severe way or another. That�s another thing about her; her face. Her chin is strong and stubborn, often jutted out either in anger or defiance, and her nose is at nearly a right angle with the rest of her face. Her mouth is a thin and judgmental thing, often turned down in distaste or curled upwards in bitter, humorless smirks. Eyes are a muddy green, almost brown. In fact, some days they are more green, and at other times, more brown. She is tall and slender, and very swift of foot and mind. Always present on her hip as a long, slender sword, which from its length one would guess to be heavy, but is indeed quite weightless compared to its size. Her hands are riddled with sword-calluses, from frequent use of her chosen weapon. She does have a long dagger, nearly of a length to be called a sword, strapped to her right hip, on the opposite side as her sword, which she uses for eating and other various things. Her entire face, as well as limbs(arms, legs, feet, and hands), is/are sharply jutting angles, and she has no desire to alter it. Seldom will you see her in anything but trousers and a short-sleeved shirt, which are most comfortable to her.

Personality: Harsh, unkempt, unrefined, masculine, embittered�She�s not what you would call �lady-like.� In fact, she would fit in best with a crowd of soldiers, sailors, or mercenaries. She�s very unpolished in both action and speech, and perhaps would have been better suited to having been born a man. But she wasn�t, so she and everyone else must put up with her. She does, however, have a tender side, but very, very few would ever see this. Children, however, adore her, and most would wonder why they are so very fond of such a woman. The answer to this is, of course, that she has a major soft spot for children, and would give up her life for any one of them. They seem to know this, and flock to her quite readily. No one else ever sees this side of her, however, or at least not very often at all. In fact, if this aspect of her pokes its head out and sees its shadow, there will be six more years of winter!((~giggles~))

History(as told by Tsuga): "I was born in a little cottage in the outskirts of civilization. I was an only child, and my parents were good folk, simple, but good. My father was a metalworker, and crafted swords and armor for anyone in need of good weaponry who could pay him; he was the best there ever was, and often made swords for the Lords, their sons, and anyone else who could pay. When he received a large order from an anonymous source for twenty swords, all with plain leather hilts and no ornamentation, and long in blade, and from a metal that was very sharp, nearly indestructible, and surprisingly light, my parents thought that their dreams had been answered. Little did they know...

When my father finished the swords, we were raided. It seems that the men who had ordered them were brigands, and had never intended to pay for the swords, but to murder the entire family and simply take them. I, just a child at the time, managed to hide in the small compartment under the floor of the tack room in our small barn. They took everything, and what they couldn't take, they made plans to come back for. I was about four when this all happened, but I managed to get basically what happened across to the holders, who came and helped to defend what was left of my parents' lives. One of the swords was recovered, and it was given to me as proof that the bandits had been chased off.

This's that blade. I've kept it all these years. Do you have any idea how difficult it was to find someone willing to train a female child how to perform swordwork? Near impossible, and it took me three years of traveling after I turned five and determined that that was what I would do. But finally, I found one, and with the help of my teacher, I managed to piece together the small bits and pieces of what I had learned on the road with proper swordmanship, and became a quite deadly fighter at the age of eleven, when I completed her training.

After leaving the kind woman, I set out on the cold trail of the murderers, and slowly found and killed each and every one of them over a period of five years. From one of them, I took this long knife.

Part of what my weapons teacher taught me was that a rough accent is helpful to maintain a fighter's life. But it's not natural, not even after more than ten years. I forget about my accent when I'm really off-balance, or upset, or something. And, if you're wondering why my voice is like it is, that would also be the result of those murderers, as I received a blow when fighting one of the last of them that was extremely close to my voice box and vocal cords, affecting my voice most drastically, not that it was anything special to begin with.

And so, now you know. The intricate details of my past, and why I am what I am. I will become anything I set my mind out to, and then continue on to reek my vengance on anyone that presents themself, and take out my never-ending and smoldering anger on the enemies of our land, and anyone or anything else that might get in my way. That has been my life-long vow, and will remain so until the day that I die in battle.�

Skills: Swordwork, and runnerbeasts. She can train for either, and she's almost "magic" with either, as well; deadly with the sword as well as the beast, and able to ride like the wind, WHILE doing swordwork. On earth, we would call her a master of the military arts of calvary as well as foot, but on Pern, she's simply...Strange.

And YES, she IS a candidate, though I'ma RP her as though she was Searched and dragged kicking and screaming to Impress. lol.

The three of us worked hard to live in a world that tosses new challenges at us every hour! Most people consider me handsome.

I am like my sisters: kind hearted and helpful. I guess I�m kind of a softy. But that comes from living with the twins, which made them tomboyish. So, I guess it�s a fair trade! ^-^ I am an all around nice guy who loves meeting new people, and would like a dragon and flit of my very own.

I am female, and I find it a blessing.

I have a tall slender figure. I love my hair. It's long, and brownish black with some red, blond, and every other color mixed in faintly. The brown black and red are apparent, though. I have a tan complexion. I have bright bluish green eyes, which change slightly with my mood, being more greenish when I'm feeling good and bluish when I'm sad or mad. Many people say I'm beautiful, but I guess beauty's in the eyes of the beholder.

I am very friendly, and I try to become friends with everyone. I was shy once, when I was around ten, but now I'm not shy at all. I love dragons, flits, and all other creatures. I was raised near a runner farm, so I learned to ride. I also enjoy riding Runith, my green dragon I impressed at Xanadu Weyr. I get very excited and hyper sometimes, but I try to be a friend to all, and respect others when they tell me to stop. I can also be sensitive, or seem to have no emotion. I'm very unpredictable. I just do what comes naturally to me. I am very excited about transferring to a Weyr I've herd is so great.

I love singing, and have a beautiful alto voice. I also love riding runners and dragons alike. I have a certain knack for flying and flaming with Runith. I also am very good at solving problems. I look kind of like my older sister, Anna, who just transferred. I have black strait hair alittle past my shoulders, which is usually just down or in a ponytail. I'm tall, tan, and slender, like Anna, and have deep blue eyes. I'm told to be quite handsome, but never really thought it a big deal.

I guess you could call me a wild teen. I'm kind of a softy at times, living with my two sisters and my mom [our dad died when we were young]. I'm just a fun-loving guy who wants to have a good time, do something exciting once in a while, you know? Well, I like riding, swimming, singing, dancing... the list goes on and on. About the only things I don't like to do are the things that would really hurt someone or something, emotionally or physically.

Like the rest of my family, I am great at riding and singing. I have a brilliant tenor voice, and together with my sisters, our mother says we sound so good, even the masterharper couldn't find a fault. I would really love riding a dragon; Anna let me ride her green with her once, and it was amazing. The best moment of my life...

Of course I'd love a dragon! Having a dragon of any color is my life-long dream...I've always dreamed of riding a bronze or brown, but I wouldn't object a green or blue! I'd be happy just to watch an impression!

I look like my twin. Black, raven hair alittle past my shoulders, tall, tan, and slender. Our only difference is I'm a girl, and my eyes are more of a deep emerald green. Many people can only tell us apart by our gender, though, so our eyes go unnoticed. In fact, only the two of us and Anna can tell the eye difference.

I'm a pretty fun-loving girl. I love to stay active and do whatever I feel like doing. I�m usually found hanging out with my brother, since he is alot less shy than I am. I'm the only one in my family that's shy. I LOVE riding, singing, and dancing. They're my three hobbies, but you can find me and Daniel doing anything that won't hurt anyone/anything, emotionally or physically. When Anna let us ride her green, though, it was probably the best moment of my life...

Our whole family enjoys singing and riding, and I'm no different. I have a beautiful soprano voice, and though I'm the youngest, I sing the loudest and strongest. I never hold anything back while singing, which has made me a beautiful singer, as I'm told. I also have a unique ability, one I don't share with any in my family. I am an extremely good healer. But I think the thing that would make me happiest would be becoming a dragonrider and having good rider skills. That is my dream!

Of course I want to impress! I really want a queen, but I'd love a green like my sister. I'm not picky! I would be happy to watch an impression, but it is my lifelong dream to actually impress!

Personality: She can be very sarcastic at times, and can often come across as aggressive, but she has unwavering loyalty towards her friends, and once you have gained her trust, you have it for life. She hopes to Impress a dragon, and would love to teach, though she fears she may have too short a temper. She has often ben described as being old beyond her years.
Skills: She is very good at telling stories, for she can change her voice to other accents and tones. She has excellent aim, either with a stone, or with one of the tiny knives she always carries (there aren�t many places where she feels secure enough to carry no weapon).

i've been around for 21 hard years

the mirror shows me as being quite tall, about 5"10 i'd say. i have a very well muscled body - i should know, i work on it alot. i wear a yellow and blue top half with orange shorts, being a colourful person. i have a fairly good tan - yep, i spend time on that too. my eyes are an intense dark blue and my short hair is a striking flaxen. my face is handsome and on my torso i carry several battle scars. one particularly big one runs the length of my back. on my back is a large sword with a naked blade - perfectly polished and named Zurik.

my persona is cheerful and very confident - sometimes even overconfident. i'm fun to be around, and rather a ladies man at times. i have a quick mind but sometimes i can be a little arrogant and too proud. underneath it all, i am sensitive and compassionate, with lots of empathy. i always put others first, despite my pride, and will risk my life for a loved one, even if it means putting my own lfie at risk. i am strong definitive and very masculine. only in battle do my true colours shine through however, as out of battle i spend most of my time arranging my hair or polishing my sword.

i have several skills, mainly my sword fighting. i am very strong even without my sword. i work well with runnerbeasts.

the mirror shows me to be medium-tall, 5"6 i'd say, my hair falls to below my shoulder, is quite thick, and dark mahogan. most of it is hiddne by a red bandan though. as for my skin, it's tanned well by long hard days on the open sea all my life. my hands aren't too soft, but yours wouldn't be either if you spent alot of time hoisting mainsails and climbing to the crowsnest. my figure is well confirmed and built for strength and endurance, that isn't to say i'm fat though, indeed my body is trim and well toned by lean muscles. my eyes are a peculiar grey blue, contrasting strongly with my skin tone, the pupil has a border of light brown which almost seems yellow. people say they mirror the sea, changing with the waters, sometimes calm and turquoise, sometimes dark, malevolent slate. i wear much jewelry, being an ex-pirate. i wear short blue shorts and a pink top tied into a sailors crop. at my side is a cutlass dubbed Krakentooth.

for my personality, it is of course built up on mistrust and distance of all but closest friends who i see as family. i owe many of my icy traits to a punishing lifestyle and cruel past. once the ice has melted and i know a person well enough (although this does take a hell of a long time) i am a strong willed and true companion, passionate in all i do. hard times have bred me a hard young lady and made me a quick thinker. i also very am headstrong, indeed sometimes a little too headstrong! i am generally laid back and easy going, and my temper is slow to boil over, but when it does, you'd better watch out. born and bred a pirate, of course i've picked up a few habits which aren't really too friendly, but alongside this, i've had the benefit of developing a pirates sharp wits and have become alot more canny. i have seen so much deceit in my time that i can usually see through it pretty easily, liars don't get far with me... however, it has also made me a very good liar myself. in a fight, i would either be the last one left standing, or i would be dead.

i am skilled in sword fighting and am a formidable liar! i can scam most people, and am a strong swimmer. my senses are accute and i can fish and steal well.

Personality: Evil? ^_^;; Resa is a sharp-tongued, sassy woman who never fails to share her unadulterated opinion on anything and consistently angers people with her acidic remarks. Though not actually cruel, she doesn't care much for 'feelings' and usually brushes any 'mushy' talk off with a sneer. Nonetheless, she is an excellent rider and an asset to a Weyr... if only for her steel-trap mind and cynical outlook that tends to catch things others miss. The loss of her little sister, Kayet (and her green Myath), has given her a more depressed shadow than she'd like to admit...
Dragon: Anraeth is a deformed green whom everyone figured would never fly... due to mutated wings. Though she proved them wrong and can indeed fly, the darkly emerald creature has never been as agile, enduring, nor as fast as others of her color. Possibly due to her deformity as well, she hardly ever rises. Personality-wise, she's as pert and saucy as her rider, though without the violent streak (except when it comes to eating).
Skills: *snickers* She's good at ticking people off. Basically, having lived alone for the past several years, she can do anything required to live -- hunting, fishing, weaving, cooking, first aid, etc. And she was once an assistant to a Weyrlingmaster...

Just when you have figured him out, he'll do something that contradicts everything you thought. He can be serious, in love, angered, confused, he just doesn't show it to just anyone. If some one is in need of a wake up call, he's the alarm. Even though most of his jokes are about himself, he likes to think oh others laughing with him, not at him (he saves that job for himself!) With a long history of running away. She keeps her past hidden from everyone, never to be discovered. People often wonder how she got the gruesome thread score but all she'd say is 'it fell' and she'd often leave the barracks for a new location. You might find her looking out at the sky, like she was in a trance, but she'd just shrug and continue. Appearance: Average in height, and well built. She has olive skin, curly black hair kept in loose braids down to her waist, and startlingly green eyes. Her features are remarkably fine, and her hands are deceptively delicate. She usually wears an emerald tunic, silver hoop earrings, a cerulean scarf on her head, and a pair of silver armlets. She does not usually go without a longsword on her hip, despite Navan's protestations that it is most unladylike. She is also left-handed, by the way.
Personality: Anything but ladylike. Often swears like a sailor (and occasionally is one), and doesn't like not getting her way. Liraz is also, appropriately, a secretive sort, who dislikes people getting too far into her business. She has a firecracker of a temper. However, she is most certainly not mean without reason to be. Being raised with no living mother and six older brothers has made her tough beyond the norm.
Skills: She is quite handy with that longsword, though there is room for improvement. Her love of the sea led her to some skill with handling boats also. She loves equally to sing, though her repertoire is often not appropriate for mixed company.

Gender and Age: Male and 17
Appearance: Similar in build to his sister, with similar coloration. However, his eyes are dark, and his face fairly plain. He wears his hair shoulder length, tied back with a leather thong more often than not. His favorite clothes are simple, utilitarian earth brown tunic and trousers. He does not often go armed except with a dagger and wears no jewelry.
Personality: Unlike his sister, Navan is quiet, very concerned with manners, and has become more gentle in recent years. He is friendlier than she, and far less likely to say "none of your business." As the youngest of his family's six boys, he was picked on often. Unlike liraz, he withdrew into silence. He needs to be approached before he can approach someone.
Skills: His years spent hiding in closets gave him ample opportunity to dream up good stories, which he has an entertaining way of telling when asked. He too, loves the sea, and can sail to some extent.

Appearance: Cozore has dark brown eyes and brown hair that gets red and gold highlights when it�s exposed to the sun for any reasonable length of time. His skin is not what you�d call dark, but it�s not fair by any stretch of the imagination either. You might call him swarthy or olive skinned, but that wouldn�t be right either really. He is of average height, though on the tall end rather than the short, and he has a face which you wouldn�t call handsome � not exactly anyway. He�s attractive enough, you could probably say, but there�s plenty that are handsomer.
Personality: He has a quiet, reserved demeanor and a �whimsical sense of humor. Cozore does not make friends easily, though it would be a lie to say he makes enemies easily. He seems to get along well with most people, even if they don�t ever become really good friends. He dresses well, and likes to keep clean, and is also oddly susceptible to small scrapes and bruises, especially around his hands. Part of the reason he never became a Harpist, though he has a good ear and nimble fingers when they are not injured. A Harpist needs to look after his hands better than he could. Cozore has an impressive memory, and uses it selectively, he�s very discreet. He also has excellent taste.
Skills: Aside from his taste, discretion, and civility; Cozore has a decent working knowledge of the way a boat works, and he has reasonable luck fishing.

Appearance: He is tall and toned, muscular but sleek. His skin is slightly lighter than a coffee bean brown, but maintains the characteristics of a caucasian and also slightly catish. His gentel eyes are a piercing yellow, and when he smiles you see a flash of ivroy, cat-like fangs. His nose, being slightly catish, maintains slight human characteristics like being the same size for instance. His hair is a jet-black that is short, but stands upin a spikey fashion. His nails end in points, making them sharp, much like claws. He wears a necklace with beads of jade that are one and a quarter inch in diameter. The rest of what he wears is not much, all it is is a short brown-green loincloth.
Personality: He is greatly controled by his emotions. He is fierce in battle, but kind and gentle to those he trusts. His smile alone greatly defines who he is, a loving and caring person. However this doesn't mean that he doesn't get into trouble every once in awhile. His soul is greatly in touch with nature.
Skills: His fighting techniques are unflawed as well as his fighting. His magical prowess is exponentually high, not to mention his potential. He has discovered several magical abilities, and is greatly improving on his skills.

Her eyes an ever wandering sky blue, though they sometimes pierce as cold as shards of ice. Her movement lithe, and stealthy, her wrists quick and her body light. DESCRIPTION: Of medium height, Aerix is broad-shouldered and heavily muscled, obviously a powerful man. He's swarthy-skinned, with short black hair and very dark brown eyes. Numerous scars mar his body, including a nasty one down the left side of his face. His usual expression is a scowl; only a very few things can bring a smile to his face.
Not so much arrogant as very confident of his abilities, Aerix is willing to admit when others are better at him than something - but if he's the one with more skill, he makes sure everyone else knows it. Brutally honest, he lacks anything even resembling tact, which does not always endear himself to others. Not that he cares. He's fiercely protective of anybody he considers "family", particularly Jessen, whom he treats as a little brother.
SKILLS: Runner-riding, fighting, hunting, tracking, basic first aid - you know, all the wilderness survival stuff. He's particularly good at the fighting; something of a renegade, he's lived among Holdless all his life, even before the disasters.

DESCRIPTION: Somewhat smaller in stature than his age would indicate, Jessen looks a few years younger than he is. Very thin, he never seems to quite fill out, no matter how much he eats - not that he's gotten much to eat lately. Paler than his older companion, he's heavily tanned. Sun-bleached chestnut hair falls almost to his shoulders, framing a sober face and deep blue eyes. On the active side, Jessen has a tendency to bounce slightly when excited or nervous.
Although a pretty smart kid, Jessen seems to have traded in most of his common sense for that extra intelligence; he's fearless, and his excessive curiousity tends to get him into trouble. Extremely talkative and outgoing, he can get people's nerves rather quickly. All in all, he's not exactly the survival type; in fact, Aerix is probably the only reason he's survived through the disasters.
SKILLS: He's very resourceful and inventive - given the right tools and time to think, he can make almost anything into something useful.

Personality: She is a little shy, but isn't afraid of much. She would much rather be flying Thread then be a regular queen rider. She knows this isn't right, though and her shyness keeps her from telling that to most people. Though she is shy, and often doesn't speak her mind, she can get very angry and sometimes gets a bit more outspoken then usual. She is easy to anger but easy to get to being your friend again. She is a good friend because of the shyness for she doesn't spread gossip or tell your secrets and is very kind.
Skills: Has an unknown talent even to her of being able to "hear" all dragons. She is very talented at sailing and coking.

Personality: He is very out-going, the complete oposite of his sister. He is hard to anger but it is hard to regain his trust once upset. He would make a great friend if taught to hold his tongue. He knows his sister's desire's and likes, but that's one of the few secrets he doesn't tell.
Skills: A great sailor and fisher. He has a great singing voice but his talent goes unrecognized.

Age: 19
Appearance: He�s close to 6 feet tall and built for grunt work; however, he maintains an odd agility to his walking stride that does not at all suit his build. His run is slightly more clumsy, somewhat bear like in his gait and the power behind it. His hair is dark brown, reaching mid ear and somewhat�crinkly due to the strange mix of curly hair and straight hair that invades his family tree. It�s windblown from sailing and slightly highlighted a lighter brown from constant sun. Another anomaly from genetics, his eyes are an aquamarine that is like no other color. Clear and expressively bright, they hide nothing, having nothing to hide. A small, vertical scar runs from just above his eyebrow to about and inch under his eye. It was a rather remarkable thing that he managed to close his eyes in time; it is a permanent belief of his now that all Queen fire lizards have an inherent distaste for him. Other than this he has no other thoughts on the supposedly unsightly mark that mars his fa�ade. Two other scars on his right arm show his previous temperament; they were wrought from anger as he made the decision to put his fist through a wall. Mind you it was slightly rotted, but its decaying state did nothing but pierce the flesh of his forearm and cause him quite a bit of pain. His skin is tanned, but not as much as one would think for someone who spends as much time as he possibly can outside. In that aspect he is slightly pale. Little else is there to tell. His voice lilts as in tune as possible from the small lesson in singing he had learned from a traveler. Its underlying cheer sounds in mainly tenor, slightly bass tune.
Personality: Tobeki is friendly, but shy at large events. Quite expressive, but content to watch others and be silent. He�s considerate, more than some and less than few. Amiable and relatively social, he�s a bit wary of fire lizards due to the small incident with a Queen flit. Of course, he may have provoked it a bit. More reason to be wary. With an intoxicating love for all things and an overly cheerful temperament he�s no longer quick to anger, seeing early on the consequence of anger-induced actions. He raises others up, optimistic and firm in the belief that everyone had some good. However, he is quite low in his own self esteem, working hard to be that one person that everyone can depend on, but admitting and sometimes succumbing to his procrastination and laziness. He has a will to learn as much as he can and do as much as he can all at one time, and sometimes it overwhelms him, but he gets through it alright.
Skills: Moderately proficient at sailing, a kind hand for animals and not an awful singer, he�s somewhat well rounded and likes working. Amazingly enough.

Description: Sayrin is the tallest of the family, a lanky 6'5. He has a mass of curly, dark red hair, and skin so freckled it almost appears tanned. He has an expressive face with an easy smile and candid blue eyes, which, despite his best efforts, clearly demonstrates all his emotions.
Personality wise, Sayrin is a pretty laid-back guy. He's the kind who always has a smile on, and is constantly trying to cheer others up. He's not the most outgoing person ever, mostly because he can never think of anything to say. When someone manages to finally get him engaged in a conversation, though, he can be quite as charming as any other.
Skills: Weeell�he grew up in a trader's caravan, so he's proficient in that trade. He's good with animals and can mend rips and tears in clothing, as well as a very small portion of healing.

Gender: Female
Description: Unlike her brother, Rya is more average height than anything, and very thin she's kind of�angular? She has an abundance of auburn curls, which she often pulls back in a runner tail. Her blue eyes are cool and calculating, and seem to pierce straight to the soul. Rya's skin is fair and sprinkled lightly with freckles, although she could never hope to rival Sayrin in that department.
Rya isn't the most sociable of people, preferring aloofness. She has a sharp tongue, which keeps all her siblings slightly in fear of her. You can always tell when Rya feels comfortable around someone, because that's the only time she actually looses her detachment and show some emotion.
Skills: She's very responsible(does that count as a skill?), and like the reset of her brothers and sisters, she knows a fair bit about being a trader. Rya's the seamstress of the family, and she makes nearly all her family's cloths.

Description: Sahira is an attractive girl, in a quiet sort of way. She has long chocolate hair, straight as a board, which she normally keeps tied back in a single braid. Her dark eyes are truly a window to her soul, and betray all her emotions, despite her best efforts. Sahira has lightly tanned skin, and pug nose. She's pretty short, which is something Rya always teases her about.
Since she saw her parents and eldest sister killed in one of the freak storms that ravaged Pern, Sahira has become almost painfully shy. She never speaks to anyone outside her family, if she can help it. She's shed her dreamy ways and become much more centered in the real world. Even the tragedy of her parents' and Secandra's deaths hasn't been able to cure her of her love for dragons.
Skills: Like everyone else in the family, she knows how to be a trader. She's very good with animals, and has a nice singing voice.

Tari always seems to be getting in trouble with her twin, Rai. She's joker of the family, infamous for her pranks. The only thing she seems capable of being serious about are dragons: she's caught the love of them from Sahira, and intends to be a candidate as soon as she's old enough.
Skills: Uhhhh�who's ever heard of a skilled ten year old? Actually, Tari has some skills (shocking, I know, ;-D ). She knows a little bit about being a trader, and she absolutely adores animals, and she can get them to do just about anything she wants.

Rai is the more sensible one of the twins. Sure, he gets in lots of trouble with his twin, Tari, but he's also the one who keeps her from doing really insane stunts. Despite that, he has a sense of humor and always seems to be smiling.
Skills: He knows bits and pieces about being a trader, and some about animals, flits, and dragons, because his sister is so obsessed.

DESCRIPTION: Tall and lanky, P'rin is heavily freckled, as opposed to being tanned. His hair is a gingery red, mostly cut short - but the bangs on the left side have been allowed to grow to where they reach his chin, covering his eye. That eye was destroyed in a confrontation with a crazed Holdless man, and beneath the long hair it's covered by a dark blue eyepatch. The other eye is bright hazel, and sparkles with merry good humor.
Despite the problems he's faced in the past few years, P'rin has kept a cheerful and good-humored additude. Nothing can keep him down for long, and he bounces back quickly from every mishap. He loves to laugh, and enjoys practical jokes and pranks, although he never goes overboard with his teasing. A horrid flirt, this bluerider chases females and males alike, and is persistent in the face of even the most vehement rejections. He's not into commitment, though - P'rin likes to play the field.
SKILLS: Fishing, sailing, surviving in the wilderness - all you'd expect from someone who's spent most of their youth raising an unhealthy young dragon during the disasters. He's particularly good at hunting from dragon-back.

Caphoth: More the size of an average green than a blue, Caphoth is weaker and has less endurance than most blues, perhaps because of his belated hatching at Honshu Weyrhold. However, he's even with the rest of his color in the speed department, and the agility his small size gives him more than makes up for his lacks. His color is more of a bluish-grey color than a true blue, and even freshly scrubbed and oiled it's dull and lusterless. Quieter and more patient than his fellow blues, he's an odd fellow to be paired with a rascal like P'rin - but they get along beautifully.

Skills: He's from a fishercraft hold originally, thus boating, fishing, and all things water are his middle name. He's been living with Quilth on the coast for quite ahwile, the dragon loving water almost as much as he... Oh yes, T'bel can sing, and when I say he can sing... I mean; he can SING. *falls over* He's a baritone with a range from a high bass to a low tenor; and the pitch is wonderful... Admittedly this Rider's not perfect, wine being one downfall *heh*, but man oh man can he ever sing.

Description: When the Storm hit Pern... W'ren was 14, and his left leg was completely crippled from a feline attack. He was left alone, all family killed... and there's not much to say in this matter beyond the fact that he took a great deal of mental damage trying to survive as a young recovering man with a young brown dragon. W'ren's emotionally distrustful of most except T'bel... the man found him after four years of living on his own, and took him in. In that time W'ren was attacked by felines yet again, and the scars that mar the entirety of his naturally pale skin are proof. His leg had to amputated due to fresh wounds which left it completely useless and infected from lack of medical care while he was trying to survive, and his other leg is weakened by it's own damage... the worst of which to the knee... rendering the leg he's left with completely unable to bend. Datoth is full grown now, and surves as an able cane or simply mount when W'ren doesn't hobble about with the cane T'bel made him. Also, W'ren is incredibly powerful in his upper-arms. They bulge with muscules necessary for survival in one of his circumstance.
Skills: Anything really that require's arm strength; he's been taught a bit in voice from T'bel, as well as learning a bit about the sea from his friend. W'ren also has a love of sculpting, and simply using his hands... as he loves to help where he can.... for there are so many things in which he cannot.

Description: A little shorter than average and built toned and athletic but kinda slender, Bykon has fair, wind-burned skin and a simple, capable, yet somewhat impish appearance. His dark green eyes don't often display anything beyond a good-natured sparkle, and his lips are most often set in a grin above his well-trimmed goatee. With somewhat sun-bleached blonde hair held back in a ponytail (when down it falls to his shoulder blades), Bykon is something of a trouble-maker. He loves practical jokes and his time wandering the wastelands of Pern has apparently not had an effect on the guy. He's tough and resilient, and can usually find the humor in any situation. Finally deciding to 'settle down', he managed to wreck himself on New Isle and now hopes to Impress after catching the tail end of the first Hatching. Though most often he traveled alone, Bykon enjoyed the company of many other young men of his own age and his... tastes. ^_^;; (Thus he's hoping to get a blue or green dragon.) Not necessarily the most philosophical person around, he doesn't think harder than necessary and often is the uplifting spirit in a group.
Skills: Really good sailor and a good woodsman, knowing how to survive with nothing but one's self and all that jazz. He's also a good storyteller and was an apprentice harper before the Hall was wiped out.

Gender: Male
Age: Ohhh, around 27 or so
Looks/Personality: Broad, tall, and capable looking with a few slashes of threadscore down his shoulders and one especially notable one down one side of his nose, he's been through a few things. But his indigo eyes are soft and he can have a smile every once in awhile, especially where his son and daughter are concerned. He and Hakath have a friendly, comfortable relationship with one another and they are always up for some fun.
Skills: A good Threadfighter from waaay back, R'kese also has some herbal knowledge and basic first aid. He's good with children and can work hard as well.

Name: Jarameylia (Jara, heh.)
Age: 14 (just barely)
Gender: Female
Looks/Personality: Scrawny and scraggly, she doesn't do much in the beauty department. Jara settles for wearing her brother's old torn clothes rather than her own. She has her father's eyes but her mother's dark, reddish hair which she has decided to hack mercilessly in the future but for now wears in two braids. With a snub nose and many freckles, she's not very pretty, but her smile makes up for that, as does her often ostenatious personality. Spunky and rambunctious, she loves nothing more than going for a ride with her father on Hakath or stirring up trouble wherever she can.

Skills: She knows how to sew, she just stinks at it. She's also good at sitting on a diving dragon, as she's sat in front of her father on Hakath since before she could walk.

History for them: When Pern began to collapse, R'kese and the greenrider Arkia (also me old charry, didn't steal no one) fled together in the confusion that followed the initial rocks, to a remote island, having missed the coordinates for the initial relocation. When it was time for Midorith to rise, Hakath was the only around, and soon a son was born to the human pair. About a turn following that, a daughter followed. But it became apparent that Arkia was failing, pining for her brother who had not made it out of a storm, pining for her old life. Soon she died, leaving the bronzerider with two very young children and aLOT of problems.

Evevntually R'kese made the decision to try and find others, this was no life for little ones. Waiting until he knew they could survive the journey, he, Hakath, and his children began searching for someone, anyone. And soon they found them.

DESCRIPTION: Almost as broad and tall as his father, Kavren isn't quite as large, but that's more from his young age than anything. He has his father's brown hair, cropped short, and his mother's green eyes.
Kavren's a bit quieter than his sister, though not by much. Though he loves to play, explore the outdoors, and (of course) cause trouble, there are plenty of times when he's equally willing to curl up with a good book or bug his father for stories of the times "before". His passion is dragons, not surprising with his upbringing, and he dreams of being a dragonrider like his father - a bronzerider, of course.
SKILLS: He's not got any specialized skills, but Kavren is good for any kind of heavy labor. He actually enjoys it, most of the time.

His eyes do almost the same thing; they're a crystal green that will deepen when Roshi goes through extreme emotions. Be it love to anger, they'll darken. His skin is tan, but not overly so. Paler than most boys, his freckles stand out.
Skills: He's pretty adept at weaving, believe it or not. Sort of a habit he picked up from his mother. He also likes to clean in his spare time.

His most distinguishing feature is his large, if not completely unelegant, Roman nose. A network of fine scars attest to times he wasn't quite quick enough off the mark - but they're all fairly old, as his reflexes have greatly improved.
Once quite cheerful and an awful prankster, Dominic's years Holdless and orphaned have toughened him - but not, thank goodness, embittered him. He has managed to retain his good humor, though he's a bit cautious of strangers. He rarely makes snap judgements, but prefers long and careful observation of the situation or people before he makes a decision. This can sometimes cause problems, though he's learned to speed it up a little during emergencies.
SKILLS: He's good at repairing clothing and weyrhide, but his main skill is in healing. Although he never recieved formal training, he learned most of the basics from his sister (who did), and living on his own during the disasters taught him a lot more. He's especially good at identifying medicinal plants and improvising bandages.

He's long and lanky, with muscules hidden beneath the baggy canvas pants and undecorated wher-hide belt. He comes here unarmed, his only weapon of choice being an axe to fight unruly plants, a knife to fight the carving of food, and his fists to occasionally fight for himself. Otherwise, he's a a reasonably strong proponent of stopping violence... unless he's provoked *evil snerf*. Kaimar's always up for a good conversation, and tends to have some good advice up his sleeve from adolescence of wandering between various parent-figures and traveling a random road wherever he wished from about 12 turns on.
Skills: Pretty much a jack of all trades, he can use a fishing-spear, carves and cooks food, can grow and kill plants for firewood, has a fair sense of first aid, especially for animals, can swim, can ride (many a cheap mount has left him ready for almost anything), loves to talk, and helps wherever he can... Ships are one area he's not so skilled in, but he'd love to learn.

With the ferocity of a she-bear if injured or wronged, she doesn't have the strength to back up her emotions. She'd probably just swear alot and throw a small rock. She loves to handle and play with tunnel snakes, and she'd have one as a pet if she could.
Skills: Good at handling tunnel snakes and dealing with children, a clever recreation activities director, and slightly knowledgable about certain plants.

Personality: Cheerful and fun, he'll fraternize with anyone that he has a good feeling about. He tends to get very excited about things and works himself up. He's afraid of elderly women, possibly because a holder woman threatened the life of him and his brown flit Pocket.
Skills: Easy going, can break up dilemmas, sort of strong, is smart enough to learn stuff.

Skills: Like her sister Sitara, Mel performs a rather beautiful song from time to time. Coupled together they are to be considered as some of the most beautiful voices in New Isle Weyr. She is also very ambitious and good with the flute.

Description: Vartan, the second oldest of the four is more or less looking like the rest of his Runner family. Althought he and Devon share a different mother, who passed away long before all of the children's father met Sitara and Mel's birth mother. Anyway, Vartan and Devon are quite close looking, Devon having the advantage in height of course, Vary being younger and all. His hair is black however, and naturally straight. It is long, and when not in his customary ponytail, it hangs losely on his shoulders. His eyes are hazel with just a tint of bright green. He's a bit more slender than his brother, but that of course makes for a good Runner. Vary might have a quite disposition, but once you get to know him, he's a pleasure to be around. He can usually be found looking out for his younger sister Sitara.
Skills: Sharing the musical skill of the rest of the family, Vary excells in singing, althought he has a deeper voice than the others. Like his brother Devon however, he is a skilled fighter, and decent carver to boot.

Age: Ohh... sheesh... 26 or 27, I think.

Gender: female

Description: A very attractive young woman of average height, Evelene has thick black curls tumbling halfway down her back and usually unrestrained, as she's given up her riding helmet as unnecessary (and along with it, most of her riding and safety straps). Though smooth- and fair-skinned, she does bear the fine lines of threadscore on the back of her left hand, a network of scars that only serves to remind her of cutting it too close as a weyrling. Eve has brilliant green eyes and is slim but surprisingly strong for her size; of course, she's learned several self-defense and leverage tricks in her time alone, in part to fend off panicked or bitter holdless and in part to keep herself alive from the freakish weather that caused floods, earthshakes, and the like while she was still on the ground. As a result, Eve is a skilled woman to have in an emergency, be it on the ground or in the air. Speaking of in the air... Palirth is a slightly-larger-than-average green and has learned to be very enduring and agile to last through or simply avoid bad storms and Threadfall. Nearly invisible scars rake down her left side right behind her shoulder, earned at the same time Eve's were. Palirth is a witty and saucy green, and probably isn't going to be overly sociable to any male dragon aside from Kuvoth, as her flights while alone were tended by... less than chivalrous... riders and dragons. Eve is similarly jaded from said flights.

Skills: Living through horrible Threadscores? ^_^;; Just kidding. She's gotten quite good at navigating the storms en flight, and despite past scores is actually a very capable Thread-fighter. She knows a sort of martial arts, mostly from trial-and-error, and she's a good fighter from it, able to hold her own against any crazed holdless. And she knows some rudimentary weaving skills, mostly picked up from living on her own after she was separated from her weyrmate, D'tir...
