Subject: Candidacy re-post from previous 'Lena' with a few modifications

Name: Lena

Gender and Age: Female, 16 turns

Appearance: Lena has medium length cinnamon brown hair with red streaks throughout her hair. She has a heart shaped face that tapers off to a relatively small chin and has a freckled and rosy complexion. She has hazel-green eyes that seem to change color depending on light and mood. She is of average height and weight and has a long shallow scar on the back of her right hand.

Personality: Lena is shy at times, but can be forceful in an argument. She is more introverted than extroverted and is extremely sarcastic to the point where you can't tell if she's serious or not. She has a small voice and prefers not to be aggressive, but can be when necessary. She only recently became outgoing and opinionative, but still passive.

Background:
Lena was born in Nerat Hold to a healer mother and a dragonrider father in Benden Weyr. She has one older sister who is a healer, and one cousin who is a smith. Her father was always off at Benden Weyr and rarely came home, while her mother was always at Healer Hall, and also rarely came home, and her sister was almost always at Healer Hall as well learning from their mother and practicing her skills. As a result Lena was alone most of her childhood. When she was seven she decided to move in with her father at Benden Weyr because she was closer to her father, loved dragons, and knew it was a better setting for her to grow up in rather than the large empty home in Fort Hold. She has always aspired to be a dragonrider and has been taught by her father about dragons, dragon care, and about numerous other things. When she was nine her family went on a vacation in the Southern continent to visit friends at Honshu, she and her sister went exploring and found a very small clutch of fire-lizards. There were only two eggs, one regular and one queen. The mother was watching over them carefully in a small tree near them. Lena had some food with her and once the eggs hatched her sister Impressed the queen. The other egg didn't hatch. A few years later, when she was 12, her father's friend had had a clutch of Whers that he needed to give away. He asked Lena if she wanted one and she said yes and was given one egg and instructions on how to care for a Wher and what to do, and so on. When it hatched it was a light bronze color, which is strange for Whers, and Lena named the male Wher Irid. Not too long after, her father died in Thread, and her mother who was so wrought with grief went to live with their aunt in the Southern Continent. A year after, her sister, who was two years older than her, had gotten promoted to Journeywoman and left Lena almost completely alone. Lena then became friends with a female candidate at Benden who convinced her to try to become a candidate as well. She's been living in the Weyr for a few years and knows it is only a matter of time before she is accepted as a candidate, and her dreams of a dragon become reality.

Skills: Cooking, some healing, some dragon care, writing, painting, and some weaponry

Pets: 1 male bronze Wher named Irid

Special Notes: Lena has an incapability of comforting...she can't emotionally support others because she can't handle other people's emotions along with her own.
