Description: Lithe but quite strong, considering she's only about 5'4" and barely over 105 pounds. Appearances can fool people more than once. She tends to braid her long dark brown-black hair that extends to her mid back and is streaked by natural highlights of lighter brown. The highlights come from prolonged sun exposure due to her love of being outside, whether it is in an ocean or on a runner. Expressive but steely grey blue eyes usually contain most of her emotion and ways to express those emotions. Her tanned skin gives an almost Asian appearance, but such ethnicities have long since been mixed and forgotten in the past. Her posture nearly conveys her entire personality just by sight. She stands relaxed, but fidgets in place and is energized much more than necessary; a constant readiness surrounds her. She uses her carefully nimble, slender hands in her valiant attempts to help her father at his craft of training runners, while their callouses from the reins are not so prevalent, nor recent. As she thought more of Impression she began training her beloved equines less, leaving the job to her young brother. His dreams of Impression are stronger than hers, but at his young age of six he could do little else except stay with his family. With a considerable tolerance to heat and frigid temperatures she has struck out in shorts, a sleeveless shirt and sandals, packing necessities in her small weyrhide bag. The preference of light travel is much less demanding in the ways of time and expense. She is quick in wit, word and action; however action is rarely violent, more often than not reaction to surroundings. Her highly excited way of dramatizing things can be easily suppressed, but instead channels itself into huge bouts of optimism in favor of those around her. Her thoughts personally are quite realistic, more often leaning to be internal pessimism. While everyone else is considered to have some good in the grey blue eyes of Elaini, she strives to do just that little bit more. The want to help everyone and not being able to cuts down her esteem, but her very presence of mind lacks an ego. The lack of much of an ego sheilds her from most verbal assault on the hidden pride. All put together she's quite amiable, very apt to make friends and be sociable. However, she is slightly lacking in the great amount of courage it may take to lead a large group, but she will do more than whatever is expected of her if it for the good of everyone else.
Skills: She's a good rider and can train a runner fairly properly without much difficulty. Her mother taught her some weaving and some musical skill and she retained it, but it is not her most abundant source of talent. She does not lack creativity, just the proper teaching. She's also an adept swimmer and can sail fairly well, knowing most currents and winds and ship pieces. At least well enough so she won't float out to sea for the rest of her known life.
