hi, my Dad has the same shotgun, and he was just telling me that my Grandpa traded a pig for it before my Dad was born. He was born in 1934. I am also trying to get more info. This gun does have a serial # on it by the trigger guard and also inside the removeable wood piece under the barrel. Good luck in your search.
