SOME IGNORANCE IS BLIND.
I'll play devil's advocate, let's have a trip through primitive thought
Lets visit the graves of civil war veterans, reminisce on battles that they fought
The onslaught of a million Jews under anti-Semitic socialist rule
Mother Nature is a hard bitch sometimes she's a little too cruel
We in a recession but Third World countries be so highly overinflated
Gems like saphhires and rubies get traded for bread...golds not even sacred
Souls get sold for blood diamonds the government creates the black market
Creating a genocide of a race, missiles with a young, frightened, black target
Rappers killing the culture they don't know 'bout history or Kurtis Blow
They water it down and act like clowns then collect $20,000 a show
Tupac was a martyr but I'm hoping that his memory is a done fight
Cause in ways I feel like even he messed up hip-hop by making up THUGLIFE

Mother Nature is a hard bitch she'll have your entrails discarded
Philosophy is the poor man's religion I'm sick of reading Descartes
So I give you my soliloquy cause no one else will listen to me
I'm searching for my Holy Grail, I know no one else will give it to me


SOME IGNORANCE IS INSIGHTFUL
Like when you get upset and before you lose your temper, then relax
Or you quit smoking cigarettes and throw on that nicorette patch
Gotta open that door in yourself...break the locks, pull the latch
When you ignore your old identity and live your life for Christ
A heist of heaven's riches, not in anger and not in spite
Even a poet and the words he writes, when he refuses to dumb it down
Going against the machine and Jimmy Iovine won't be a black-face clown
Like the kid that passes up a chance at binge-drinking and carnal knowledge
So he bypasses all the venereal diseases and makes it into college
Doesn't become a Father prematurely, isn't angry and seething
Never winds up with a domestic abuse charge or goes to AA meetings
The bachelor that lets debauchery go, just gotta get that blotch of his soul
Won't stumble over the rocks in the road, puts the devil in a hole
At one time he was dooming his health, abused in this hell
He had to ditch a life of lewd acts to be more in tune with hisself
Woke up and saw the sun sky high thinkin', "It's my time"
There's a hopefulness and air of success looming in the skyline
Invisible walls that were once around him have been broken down
You'll never catch him smoking now, he's a new man
Not just another existential cynic that roams the ground
He used to loathe the sound of a Psalm, his mind is open now 37.


Watch out for your inner-demons and the evil they might do
Don't be afraid of being ignorant
Cause in reality some ignorance is insightful.
