Author: Maxim Reality
Subject: The 12 Man Battle Royal...

{The scene is set once again inside the home of Maxim Reality in southern California. Maxim is exerting himself vigorously inside his weight room while watching matches of C-Rock wrestle. There is a ring at the doorbell and Maxim answers it. He escorts the HWF camera crew to the weight room and they get settled. Maxim begins working out again and they begin asking questions.}

HWF Reporter: Well, Maxim, I'd like to start by saying congratulations for winning the HWF's newest title. And you recently informed everyone that it will be called the People's Championship and I think that is a very fitting name.

Maxim Reality: As do I. Without the people who tune in to the Hardcore Wrestling Federation every Monday and Thursday just to see the Extreme Technician kick ass, I wouldn't be much of a wrestler right now. The fans helped make me what I am today and that's why I named my title after them.

HWF Reporter: Well that was a sportsmanlike thing to do. Anyways, what do you think about everything that occurred this past Monday at War? A lot of interesting things happened and the world would like to know what the People's Champ thinks about all of it?

Maxim Reality: Well, at first I was upset because Monday War took place in Utah. And for those of you who don't know, I was born in Salt Lake City. So wrestling in front of my hometown would have been quite an honor. But I got the night off and it's all good. Because next time we do a show in Utah, I'm sure I'll be booked. And I'll give my hometown fans exactly what they want, and that is a classic Extreme Technician victory! Anyways, the show started off strong with those killer pyro effects and then an offer from the Hardcore Champion, Mark Dunn. Personally, I think it was nice of Dunn to give those jobbers a shot. If he says the winner will get a shot at his hardcore title, then maybe their interviews will last more than thirty seconds! And personally, I enjoy the irony of that ordeal. Mark Baldwin was the winner of the match, but in the long-run he was the loser. He's gotta face the Human Suplex Machine in a Hardcore Rules Match! And I can almost guarantee that Mark Baldwin will cough up blood next Monday! Then after a series of jobber matches, Mark Dunn and Nyte Ryda fought Team Extreme in an 'I Quit' tag match. All and all it was a very exciting match, but somehow that punk Jay Man got the win because some punk knocked out Dunn with an implant DDT. So the PTP basically got screwed in that match. Next Balla took on Cactus Jack in Stairway to Hell Match. This match was awesome because we got to see Cactus Jack nailed in the head with a kendu stick, powerbombed off a ladder through three tables, and the crucifix-powerbombed out of the ring and onto the entrance ramp. And naturally, Balla picked up the win. And finally came the main event in which C-Rock got a shot at the T.V. Title. After a long-fought match, C-Rock nailed Joker with a spectacular twirling 'SmackDown' through a table and became the new H.W.F. Television Champion. And then the rest of the Playaz came down and we beat on Joker for good measure. So like every show, it closed with the Prime Time Playaz on top! And you can expect that on Thursday as well!

HWF Reporter: And speaking of C-Rock, I noticed you were watching old videotapes of him wrestling. What is the deal with that?

Maxim Reality: I figured you'd be curious about that. Well in case you haven't been told yet, there will be a 12 Man Battle Royal for the #1 Contender spot for the World Title. The combatants in this match will be: Maxim Reality, C-Rock, Nyte Ryda, Balla, Mark Dunn, Ryan McBain, Jay Man, Jake Blade, Hardcore Jay, Joker, Jeff Matthews, Road Dogg. Now after hearing that line-up, it is obvious that this match will go down in HWF history. First of all, we've got the entire roster of the Prime Time Playaz inserted in this match with the exception of Blue Devil. There is once again another supporting fact that shows why we are the greatest stable in the HWF right now. Granted, the nWd has Joker, Reznor, and Jake Blade in this match, but they don't stand a chance at winning! The one thing I don't get is Jeff Matthews and the Road Dogg. Why in the hell are they in this match? Because to me, they're just taking up space. And the reason I am watching videotapes of C-Rock is because I need to do whatever I can to be prepared for this match-up. Even though I am fighting my own stable-mates, I'm still gonna do what I have to in order to walk out with a victory. I don't wanna end anyone's career, but a shot at the World Title rarely comes along to a guy like me. And I'm not gonna mess up the opportunity the Prez is giving me on Thursday. I realize it kinda sounds like I'm really confident about winning, but the truth is, I'm not. This will be one of the hardest matches in my entire career. I've gotta beat four other members of the PTP and three members of the nWd. This will, no doubt, be an incredibly hard match. But winning the World Title has been my dream ever since I became a wrestler and I'm gonna get my chance to on Thursday.

HWF Reporter: So what are your thoughts on what looks to be a historical match in the Hardcore Wrestling Federation's history?

Maxim Reality: Well, I've been trying to not put a lot of thought into it, but it's hard not to. There have been a lot of important matches in my career, but this one could determine if I have what it takes to hang with the World Champs. And, personally, I think I do. And since I'm gonna do some talking about my opponents, I think I'll start off with Jeff Matthews. Frankly, I have no idea why this jobber is included in this match-up! How many matches has he won recently? Around zero? Even with his formerly talented tag partner he still sucks. From my recollection, I only faced off against Matthews once in single competition. It was a Last Man Standing match-up and I absolutely destroyed him! I probably nailed him with the 'Thundershock' or something painful that would keep him down for such a long time. And another thing about this guy I don't understand is why should he get a shot at #1 Contender? Has he held any titles? Nope. Has he ever beaten anyone that would be considered an impressive victory? Nope. Does he follow the HWF rules and have at least two interviews a week? Nope. So why the f*ck does this p*ssy-ass jobber get a shot at the #1 Contender for the World Title? Who knows?! But it doesn't really matter because the only reason he and the Road Dogg are in this match is because the Prez needed someone to fill the eleven and twelve spots. And speaking of the Road Dogg, does anyone really think he can stand this match without being ripped apart? I mean, who has beaten that has moved him to superstar status? No one! Hell, maybe he was talented back in the day and maybe he's still got his charisma, but he has lost whatever "skills" he had! He won't last five minutes in that damn ring! If I were to bet on who's gonna get tossed out of the ring first, I'd bet on the Road Dogg. Him and his cousin are actually pretty pathetic. They've been a tag team for quite some time now and people like Riot and Eclipse are destroying them. I'll admit Riot and Eclipse are making a pretty big jobbing impact on the HWF, but they shouldn't be able to destroy an experienced team like Road Dogg and Matthews. But since Matthews and the Dogg suck, it kinda makes sense that they lose every match they attempt to participate in! I haven't seen an interview out of either of these two in weeks! They only make appearances at shows and for some reason haven't gotten fired. But I guess someone needs to be booked in order for people like Jake Blade to kick someone's ass. The reason is because Jake Blade can't kick superstars' asses, but he shouldn't be booked against ultra-jobbers like Chris North. But I'll get to Jake Blade in a little bit. And speaking of Chris North, Road Dogg and Matthews suck so much that I wouldn't be surprised if North beat them both in a handicapped match! And that itself should display how terrible Matthews and Road Dogg are! Face it, boys, you don't belong in this match. And the only reason you should come to the ring is if you want to get hurt. And if you don't wanna be carried out on a stretcher, then stay as far away from me as possible.

{Maxim catches his breath and then restarts.}

Next up, I've gotta take out Jake Blade. It wasn't very hard the first time I did it and I doubt it will be any harder on Thursday. In case you forgot, Blade, I recall nailing your ass with a Diamond Cutter off the top rope. Man was that sweet. Of course, it gave you a pin fall because you landed on Riot, but it was still a devastating move. And then Nyte Ryda eliminated you after you received a 'Wake Up Call'. And if you couldn't hold your own in that match what makes you think you can hold up in this one? This match is gonna be at least 10 times more challenging than last Thursday's! Sure, maybe your finisher is very lethal, but it's not like you're ever gonna get the chance to put it on me. I'm way too quick for you. You'll try and put me in the 'Final Breath', but I'll duck, spin you around, kick you in the gut, and nail you with a powerbomb into a DDT onto a chair. Afterwards, I'll pin you and you will be eliminated from the match. Hell, it's already been foreseen! I will defeat Jake Blade in the 12 Man Battle Royal. But I actually think this should be called an 8 Man Battle Royal because you, Joker, Road Dogg, and Jeff Matthews don't qualify as men. And since Matthews and Road Dogg don't belong in this match, why the hell should you belong in it? Granted, you're on the top ten list for best wrestlers in this federation, but once C-Rock is posted on there, you'll be taken off pretty quickly. I mean, what titles have you won in this federation anyway? Oh yeah, that's right, none!! Just because you made a small impact on this federation when you first entered doesn't mean you deserve any more of a shot than Matthews does! Come to your senses, Jake, you are a terrible, waste of space, boring, unskillful excuse for a wrestler that does not belong in the same ring as someone like Maxim Reality! So before you bring your ass down to the HWF ring and try and talk shit about me, think about what I could easily do to you on Thursday. If I felt like it, I could end your f*cking career!! So don't mess with someone who has that much power over you! And since I'm the subject of losers and the New World DisOrder, next comes the Joker. Joker, I'll admit, has talent but he has lost a step since his absence and that will greatly affect his performance on Thursday. Sure, Joker beat me at Last Man Standing and retained his T.V. Title, but that was because my mind was elsewhere. And ever since that loss, I have been planning on getting back at Joker. I've been planning on making him hurt. I want him to feel the greatest pain he has ever felt. And on Thursday he will realize that only Maxim Reality gives the most severe kind of pain in this entire universe. Let's take a look at how Joker's career has been going. First, we'll start from the beginning, he calls himself "Joker". BIG MISTAKE. Then, he screws Balla out of the T.V. Title. Next, he wins the T.V. Title from that jobber Blade because he could never beat Balla. Then, he defeats Maxim Reality at Last Man Standing. Now that was the biggest mistake of his life and he'll realize that on Thursday. And after a bunch of title defenses against jobbers, he loses the title to someone talented. And that man is known as C-Rock! So recently you haven't been doing too well, Joker. And you can call me names if you want, but just remember, it's not my fault you suck. Sure you made an impact on this fed when first entering, but that little flame died out long ago. Look at me, I've been in this federation for months and I'm still making an amazing impact every single night I wrestle! And even you can't deny that, Joker. So you bring your 'No Laughing Matter' and the 'Joke's On You' because I can't wait to reverse them into something amazingly painful! Do you even realize how quickly I could reverse your cross-powerbomb neckbreaker into a Buffalo Sleeper hold? Actually, I'd prefer a Dragon Sleeper because it would be even more painful. And in case you didn't realize, I enjoy giving my opponents a huge dose of pain every time I fight. And when I fight, there's nothing my opponent can do but tap or pass out! And that is exactly what you'll be doing on Thursday Joker!! Thursday night I'll get my vengeance on you for being a constant thorn in my side and you will finally realize who Maxim Reality is!!

{Maxim Reality takes out his C-Rock tape and inserts a tape showing Team Extreme.}

Now these guys are two other people included in this match-up. And I'll admit they control most of the experience factor, but they're lacking in talent these days. Sure, on Monday they beat Nyte Ryda and Mark Dunn in that I Quit tag match, but that was a complete fluke. They won't win again any time soon. And Thursday they definitely won't win! Let's see, I remember beating the crap out of Hardcore Jay in cage match back when he was the Hardcore Champ. Of course, he didn't have the balls to put his title on the line, but I don't mind. And I'm pretty sure that match was the first time I debuted one of the most vicious submission moves in the history of wrestling: the 'Taste Of Reality'! And since Dunn has another bad-ass submission maneuver, I think while he applies the 'Fully Loaded' and makes you cough up blood, I'll apply a 'Taste Of Reality' and snap your ankle!! You can claim to be hardcore, punk, but just because you drink beer and carry a Singapore cane doesn't mean shit to me or anyone else! And I respect you because you've been in this federation for so long, but it ends there. And just because you have loads of experience doesn't mean I won't beat the hell out of you. There was a short period of time where you were a top wrestler in this federation who was almost unstoppable, but times are changing. You and everyone else has now entered the Age of Maxim. I hope you're ready for the pain train because it's gonna be stopping at Hardcore Jay Station. And as for your brother, Jay Man the exact same things apply: the experience factor and the "hardcore factor". Even though, you are experienced and you think you're hardcore, doesn't mean I won't tear you limp from limp. Now I recall fighting you in a singles match that had your loser Establishment interfered and therefore the match never really ended. But later on, I fought you and Vandal in a three-way match in which I nailed your ass with a broken piece of your own kendu stick across the back of your neck. And if I remember I was the one to take you out of the match. So what I'm getting at is, I've beaten you and I've beaten your brother and I'll do it again on Thursday. Your Jay Man Driver ain't nothing special and neither is the Hardcore Drop. And as for you little Jay Man Leg Lock? That submission is disgusting compared to some of the shit I will bust out on your scrawny ass! I'm gonna make you tap and if I have time, I'll make your boyfriend… I mean brother tap too! I've beaten you both too easily in the past to just lose Thursday's match to either one of you! I've also beaten you both in tag matches a bunch of times. Me and Blue Devil beat both of you and I'm pretty sure me and Nyte Ryda defeated you guys. And even if you beat me and Nyte Ryda once that doesn't mean we've forgotten. The Prime Time Playaz always like evening the score and we'll be doing it 10-fold to you two in the 12 Man Battle Royal. Face it, you guys should have retired a long time ago. You've lost your "skills" and you have no chance of hanging with someone like me!!

{Maxim takes out the Team Extreme tape and plays another tape showing Reznor and McBain fight in a tag match.}

Then I've gotta face the former Intercontinental Champion Ryan McBain. McBain, we entered this federation at around the same time, but you were pushed as the better man. Even though, I was voted as best newcomer in the HWF Slammies. And speaking of the Slammies what's the deal with those? Well, anyways, when you started out you got a title shot earlier than I did and got on the top ten wrestler list before me. But I don't mind all that crap because I can deal with trivial things like that. But not too long ago I had a shot to show everyone in this federation that I am more talented that you ever were, but you didn't show. Maybe you had a severe injury after Nyte Ryda kicked your ass, but I remember I wrestled Mark Dunn with a cracked rib! And even though you were "injured", you and I both know that deep, deep down you were milking those injuries for all they were worth! And I didn't blame you for being scared of me, I was very angry that day because I lost to Reznor the night before and I was gonna take my aggression out on you. But you didn't show, like some people expected. But on Thursday, I'm gonna get the opportunity to beat on you like I originally wanted to. And you've gotta think, McBain, "What was it that Maxim Reality did to my tag partner?" I'll answer that one… I almost crippled him! Sure, he beat me but I am part of the reason he isn't attending this 12 Man Battle Royal. And you've gotta remember that McBain. If I can do that to Reznor, imagine what I can do to you! Once I sprain your ankle or crack your fibula, you will no longer have your vast arsenal of aerial moves. And without those high-flying moves you ain't shit! How in the fuck can you even call me pathetic? Sure, I lost to Reznor while he was limping, but you were too f*cking chickenshit to fight me last Monday anyway! And that in itself is pretty fucking pathetic, so shut your f*cking face! I'll admit you are one of the best this federation has to offer. But I'm gonna prove to everyone that I am more then man and a better wrestler. Just because you're a former IC Champ doesn't make you a force to be reckoned with! The only reason you're a force to be reckoned with is because you're talented. But all that talent won't mean sh*t tomorrow night because I have some things to give you that you will definitely not enjoy! Because I plan on showing everyone that I have always been better than you, people may not know it yet, but they will tomorrow. And once I get my hands on you, McBain, you will finally realize that this entire time we haven't fought, I have been better than you! I know you're gonna hate to admit it, but you're gonna have to. It's gonna be a very dark night for Ryan McBain and the rest of the nWd. Because after I strap on a 'Taste Of Reality', you will tap for dear life. So, McBain, on Thursday, prepare to meet your maker!!

{Maxim then takes out the 2 Extreme tape and puts in a tape showing the PTP beating down the Establishment.}

And the rest of my opponents will be the remaining members of the Prime Time Playaz. First, I'll start off with Mark Dunn. Now, Dunn, has been with the Playaz for the least amount of time so I'm not exactly sure if he knows how we handle issues like this. Ya see, Mark, like Balla has said time and time again, the PTP are more than just a stable; we're a family. And even if we fight against each other in matches we still have tons of respect for each other. We'll get into the ring and do whatever it takes to beat our opponents not matter who they are. But afterwards, we'll still have the same respect for our stable-mates that we did before the match. I respect Mark Dunn a whole lot because he is amazingly talented and skilled. And I'm sure it will be challenging to fight him, but I think I can emerge with the victory over him. The first time you and I faced off before you became a Playa, Dunn, was in that Bunkhouse Brawl that I think was a non-title match. And you definitely gave me a tough match, but in the end I ended up with the win. Though, me and Dunn have separate backgrounds and didn't meet until this year, we still have a lot in common. We're both incredibly intense, we both have the determination to win, and we possess the two most vicious finishers in the HWF today. You are the are man delivering the 'Fully Loaded' while I give people a 'Taste Of Reality'. And if the match gets to a one on one battle and it's Maxim Reality versus Mark Dunn, the world will find out which submission is more effective. Dunn definitely has a chance at beating me, but he's still gotta remember that loss I gave him. I'm going in to Thursday's match with a lot of respect for Dunn and I when I walk out, I will still have a lot of respect for him. So whether Dunn or Reality walks out with the victory, we'll still be Prime Time Playaz. And that is really all that matters. Best of luck to you, Mark.

font color="lime"> {Maxim takes a breath and begins to speak again.}

The next Prime Time Playa I'm gonna have to battle is none other than the Intercontinental Champion, Nyte Ryda! Me and Nyte Ryda have been friends for a very long time. Back when I won the Hardcore Tag Titles, I had to choose a partner to help me defend them. And I chose Nyte Ryda because I knew if I wanted to keep those titles I needed a skilled partner. Nyte Ryda and I held those titles for a long time, but eventually lost them. But that's all good because he and Balla soon got them back for the Playaz. Eventually, it came to be that you and I had to go against each other in an 8 Man Battle Royal for a new title in the HWF. After you and I eliminated all the losers, we went one on one. And when we collided, the arena was lit up! After a little while, though, Maxim Reality came out with the victory. But I've gotta admit, you gave me one helluva match! And just because I beat you that time, doesn't mean you can't beat me. That's why I know fighting you is going to be very challenging. I can promise you that you will feel my all and more because winning this match is very important to me. I have been in this federation longer than you, but you have proved to everyone that you definitely deserve that Intercontinental Title. You've beaten HWF greats like Cactus Jack, Ryan McBain, and came very close to beating Mankind once. You are no doubt talented, but I have been in this federation too long and I've been working too hard to mess up this once in a lifetime opportunity. And I know we're gonna deliver a lot of pain to each other, but that's what the "H" in Hardcore Wrestling Federation is all about. I'm gonna give you everything I got Nyte Ryda, just like I did last Thursday. And I agree with what Balla said. In the end of the match, it's gonna be Balla vs. C-Rock vs. Nyte Ryda vs. Maxim Reality vs. Mark Dunn. And that itself is pure main event shit! I can assure everyone that this match is gonna be absolutely incredible and you will not want to miss it! But as for Nyte Ryda, like we said before, no matter what Playa walks out with the victory, we're still gonna go out later and have a drink. Because we are more than just a stable. And if I seem like I'm trying to kill any of my stable-mates on Hardcore Thursday, think nothing of it because I can get pretty intense when need be. And though we're gonna deliver a lot of pain to each other, Nyte Ryda, remember, friends is friends but business is business.

{Maxim wipes the sweat off his forehead from his workout and begins to speak once more.}

Now, my second to last opponent will be one of greats of the HWF, Balla. Now this next thing I'm about to say may offend some people in the HWF, but it needs to be said: Personally, I have always thought that Balla is the greatest wrestler in the Hardcore Wrestling Federation's entire history. That one little opinion makes this an honor for me. Fighting someone with the amount of talent as Balla will be a true test, but I think I am up for it. I remember when I first entered this federation I was a lone wolf and of all the wrestlers in this fed, Balla was the one person I never wanted to wrestle. The reason for that was because I never in a million years thought I could beat him. But then I joined Degeneration X and now we're the Prime Time Playaz and Balla has taught me a lot. So has C-Rock. And Nyte Ryda and I have learned a lot from each other. But even though I've learned a whole lot from Balla, I think it is time the student outgrows the teacher. I definitely think Balla deserves another shot at the World Title, but he has had his time as the Champ. And it's my turn now. I need to have a time to shine and that time is Hardcore Thursday. Fighting people like Balla is what separates the men from the boys. If you can beat someone like him or C-Rock, you have proven yourself to be a tough motherf*cker. Hell, if you survive against someone like Balla or C-Rock, you have proven yourself worthy! Balla has already sealed a spot in the Hardcore Wrestling Federation's Hall of Fame just for him and he's still working his ass off. If he felt like it, he could retire in a second and still be as famous as ever. But instead he has decided to fight until he thinks he is done. And that won't be for a long time I can tell ya. Almost every person that has beaten Balla in the past has gotten some form of revenge from him. One time I think Joker beat him and before Joker could leave the ring, Balla nailed him with a 'Decapitator'. Balla is not the type of guy you wanna mess with if you want to make it in this federation. And I never plan on messing with him, but I am still gonna fight him. On Thursday night, I am going to face off against Balla and ten other men in what looks like on the greatest matches in HWF history. Balla, you know I respect you and everything you've accomplished but Thursday I've gotta do what I gotta do. That World Title is something I've been wanting since I was a kid and if I have to pin one of my heroes to get it, I will. But no matter what happens, I will always respect you and we will always remain friends.

{Maxim Reality prepares to talk about his last opponent and then begins to speak.}

And speaking of my heroes, my last opponent will be one of the greatest World Champions in this fed's history, C-Rock. C-Rock, of all the Prime Time Playaz, you were the one that always there for me when I needed you. I'm not saying that the rest of the Playaz were never there, just C-Rock was the coolest about things. Like that time I had to leave for a week because of my personal problems, C-Rock made it his duty to mention how the Playaz always had my back and would support me through rough times. He didn't have to say that, but he did and that's why C-Rock is a good friend to me. But sometimes in this business friends gotta go head to head. And that's what me and C-Rock are gonna do on Thursday. Like Balla, C-Rock has had his time as a World Champion, but it's my time to hold the really heavy gold. C-Rock has had several interviews where he says things like "Maxim Reality deserves this shot to, but not even he and can slow me down now." C-Rock, I agree that I do deserve this shot and that you are on an amazing hot streak after winning the T.V. Title. But there's one thing I don't agree on. I think if anyone can slow you down, it's me! Now that may sound conceited, but I really think I have what it takes to beat someone like C-Rock or Balla. I'm not saying it's gonna be easy because it definitely isn't. I'm just saying that I have reached the point in my career where I can take a step up. And winning matches against people like Balla and C-Rock is how I plan on doing that. And once I do, I will be able to take that fat bitch Mankind out. And when all the smoke is cleared, that World Title will be around my waist. I will have finally obtained what I have been working for all my life. And with that, the World Title will be back in the Prime Time Playaz. So C-Rock, though I have all the respect in the world for you, I'm gonna do whatever I have to in order to win that match. But like Balla said, family is more important than the World Title. So if I have a chance at winning the #1 Contender spot, but I see you in a tough spot, I'm gonna help you first. I'd rather make sure my friends are all right, rather than winning some match. And if I do win tomorrow and the beat Mankind, it's not gonna be just MY World Title. That title will belong to every one of the Prime Time Playaz. Because Balla, C-Rock, Nyte Ryda, Mark Dunn, Maxim Reality, and Blue Devil are all World Title material. And that is exactly why almost our entire roster is in tomorrow's match. But what all this boils down to is simple. It is obvious that a Playa will win tomorrow's match. And it is obvious that whoever that Playa is, he can beat Mankind. So no matter which way you look at it, the World Title will be back in the Prime Time Playaz.
