"I hate them."

Why, exactly?"

Tieva opens her mouth to speak, then shuts it. She doesn't know what to say, and swishes her tail angrily. She's regretting that she ever getting into a debate with the fox-morph, regretting that she mentioning Neuracomp, and regretting coming to the Flying Goldfish in the first place. She studies him. A few months back he would have belonged squarely under the designation of “Friend of Rayle’s” or more specifically "Friend of ex-Mate". Now, however, that has reverted to "Friend of current Mate" and under said mate's prompting, she decided it might be a good idea to try developing some sort of friendly relationship.

She swears inaudibly.

She then fixes the fox-morph's oddly red-tinted eyes with her own crystal greens.

There is no reaction.

What kind of name is Scorch?, she thinks, somewhat bitterly. It obviously has something to do with the flame pattern of his fur, but she suspects there's something a bit more profound than that.

"Well?" inquires the fox-morph without impatience.

Tieva searches her mind frantically for some justification, then gives in. "Argh, I don't know...there's just something wrong about the whole thing...Why do you care so much anyway? Do you support them?!" she demands accusingly.

"No. I don't. But I have definite reasons for not supporting them." Scorch explains, "For example, I am opposed to the majority of religions in general. As Religion is simply a way to provide an explanation for something in ways that are not scientific. It impedes sentient development."

He takes a drink from his glass, “You, however, have a definite bias. Lust-Child.”

Tieva’s eyes narrow. “Succubus,” she hisses. “And my father was a cat-morph, obviously, so I’m only half-succubus at that.”

She glares at him. Her anger is palpable. She stuies him fiercely, trying deperately to find an argunment to turn the tide in her favour. Then, unexpectedly, she gives a self-contented smirk. “...unless you’d rather I call you Balor-spawn, of course.”

The corners of Scorch’s mouth twist upwards in a smile, “Point taken. I guess there’s a full demon between us then.”

“Though you don’t exactly look you part. If you don’t mind my saying,” he raises an eyebrow.

It‘s true, she doesn’t. Her hair is died half-black and half-white, and is cut in a very short, jagged style. Ankhs, pentagrams, skulls and other occult miscellany adorn her persona. She wears heavy black make-up and black nail polish. Rather than her usual stunning beauty, she looks like modern day Hel. She is, in fact, rebelling against and concealing her demonic half, and it greatly bothers her that Scorch can pick it out so easily.

She makes up an excuse. “Some of us pit-fiends don’t exactly like to flaunt our presence, if you know what I mean.”

“Fair enough,” Scorch shrugs. “A toast then. To the Underworld.”

Their classes clink.

Just to clarify, Tieva and Scorch are both in the Flying Goldfish. Not to insult anyone’s intelligence of course ^_^;; Just thought it might have been a tad unclear.

Tieva Cieren, Scorch
