Subject: Mooooove out!

My apologies to anyone who had some sort of Great Plan[tm] in mind. I really didn't want to go through the hassle of typing up a convincing speech for Trevor to launch into at The Flying Goldfish, so shall we pretend that the "revolution" has been going on for a few weeks?

Sorry this took so long. The post was starting to look a little too close to home. It still is. But maybe. . . this will be a form of catharsis.

IC:

The first to go had been one of the smaller, branch churches near the outskirts of towns. Unguarded and vulnerable, it had been the perfect target. In the wee hours of the morning, it had been destroyed in a hail of fire and burning debris. Then small churches had been going up all over the place, until security was placed on all of them. Strange, to guard a place of worship, a place that had always been regarded as sanctuary.

Things began to get a little more difficult for the revolutionaries.

This is not at all what Trevor had planned for the "revolution." As a matter of fact, he had not anticipated this at all. He had expected the citizens of Kiyonis to rise up and refuse to worship anymore. But instead, people were clinging to their faith, protesting that the ignorants were trying to rob them of their religion. Many did not believe Trevor's words of bodies in tubes, being altered to fit "divine standards." Those who had always hated Neuracomp were now crying for blood--anyone's blood. It had degenerated into outright war, pitting brother against brother, and anyone could be a Neuracomp spy.

And Trevor is stuck in the middle, hailed as a visionary and a leader.

"We should've gone for the main church," growls one of the revolutionaries (though Trevor is hesitant to call them that; the word "terrorist" seems much more fitting). "Jes blow up the one in the middle o' the city, and this whole thing woulda been solved."

"We can't hurt the people in there," Trevor objects. "They're people, too."

"They've sold their souls to the Lie," the revolutionary snarls. "They don't deserve to live. And now security's too high on the thing fer a cockroach to get in an' live."

Trevor has nothing to say. This is not how he had expected it to turn out at all.

Okay, it sucked. But maybe now things can get going.
