The level of immaturity, lack of responsibility and "Give Me a HANDOUT" attitude is so prevalent in most of these negative postings that I am embarrassed for YOU! I am embarrassed because I am a part of the same group of investors as you. A group that was pre-qualified by Kevin and supposedly a "Mature" group of "Savvy" investors who understood the relationship between "High Return/High Risk".
A group who was tired of fighting the daily Internet Scams and Ponzi Schemes and was looking for some hope for a better future. Kevin stepped up to the plate and volunteered to personally move into the arena of private placements. He offered each of us an opportunity to join him. We did so with some "very explicit" statements regarding privacy in our Disclaimer/Waiver Agreements: e.g.
3.)"I WILL NOT DISCLOSE THE TERMS, CONDITIONS, OR PARTICULARS OF MY BUSINESS DEALINGS WITH MR. STRAUB WITH ANYONE.
Yet the minute we, as a group, run into a snag, you have to run to the same "Ponzi-Minded Internet Community" and cry and whine that you have been treated unfairly, hoping someone will agree with you and feel sorry for you! You immediately throw YOUR PROMISES (D/W) to the wind and feel justified in doing this because things didn't go well for you in this particular venture.
I personally feel that the only mistake Kevin has made is in being TOO LENIENT in selecting and maintaining members of this "Inner Circle of Elite Investors"! Some of you have been whiners and trouble-makers from the beginning and he, out of the goodness of his heart, allowed you another chance, and yet another chance, to stay with the group. He should have severed you upon the first inclination of your immature, greedy, I want a handout, attitudes.
Have you ever been in the position of leadership with a large number of people? If you have, you know that there are hours and hours of additional effort required to lead any organization....paperwork, communications, hand-holding, problem resolution.....and all this on top of the REAL work of putting a trade together! And there is little thanks ever given for this extra effort. Instead, the minute something goes awry the little guys start throwing stones and demanding personal favors. This is not new, read the the Book of Exodus.
My suggestion for you is to exit this group and immediately go back to the internet games and ponzis. There you will find thousands of like-minded whiners, and no one will get angry with you for complaining. Instead, they will be counting the money they fleeced from you and laughing all the while.
If I sound angry, it is because I am angry! ...and very disappointed. (Not so much with the turnout of investments, as with the investors.)
I thought I was part of an elite group of quality, mature, savvy investors. I did not expect to find this sort of thing going on in the "Inner Circle". I had great hopes and expectations of building a strong relationship with this group and one day meeting in person to discuss our mutual dreams, successes and growing pains.
It is sad to see these hopes slowly sinking like the Titanic.
