Suddenly, a drumbeat and a voice rang out. The four boys from Liverpool had snuck over to their instruments, and were now making quite a racket playing their first song, but it was a good racket. Ringo was srumming away, while John was being the lead singer and playing guitar. Paul and George were both backup singers, and were also playing their guitars. With the first drumbeat came this song:

"Help! I need somebody,
Help! Not just anybody,
Help! You know I need someone,
He---lp!

When I was younger so much younger than toda--ay,
I never needed anybody's help in any way.
But now these days are gone and I'm not so self assured.
Now I find I've changed my mind, and opened up the door.

Help me if you can, I'm feeling dow--wn,
And I do appreciate you being rou--und.
Help me get my feet back on the grou--und.
Won't you please, please help me?

And now my life has changed in oh so many wa--ys.
My independece seems to vanish in the haze.
But every now and then I feel so insecure.
I just know, I need ya like, I've never done before.

Help me if you can, I'm feeling dow--wn,
And I do appreciate you being rou--und.
Help me get my feet back on the grou--und.
Won't you please, please help me?

When I was younger so much younger than toda--ay,
I never needed anybody's help in any way.
But now these days are gone and I'm not so self assured.
Now I find I've changed my mind, and opened up the door.

Help me if you can, I'm feeling dow--wn,
And I do appreciate you being rou--und.
Help me get my feet back on the grou--und.
Won't you please, please help me?"

"Help!" "Me!" "Help!" "Me!" "Help!" "Me-----e, ooooh..." The last part was sung with George and Paul calling to John, and John answering them. At the end of the song, the boys bowed, as they did at every concert they gave besides their very, very first ones. They smiled at the girls, and Ringo said, "That was Help! by John Lennon and Paul McCartney of the Beatles!" mocking a radio announcer as he did so.
