another plant of former PM Pais Wingti's as it was Rimbink , a fellow Highlander mate of Wingti's, who got Peter Steele into the Wingti Oval Office where Steele was charged with privatisation of government assets and
other major matters likely to effect the nation. Steele was the white lawyer of imminence at the time and a mover & shaker. He is best remembered for his yachting abilities and entering PNG in the Sydney - Hobart Cup.
Pato's lawyers formerly Steeles lawyers acted for the Invesmen Corporation Fund of PNG (IC) , The PNG State Owned Asset / Property Folio Group worth years ago tens of milllions of kina. Today its a sorry state. Steeles
lawyers where Steele and Rimbink worked from was several floors below the Office of the Invesmen Corporation both in the same place at ANG House Hunter Street today . In essence Steeles did all the rent / lease work for
the I.C. A major property downtown now called NIC Haus in Champion Parade was later purchased by the I.C using Steeles lawyers acting for both the buyers and foreign seller. Because the seller , a expatriate who lived offshore could not be trusted to pay the I.C. Board graft monies at the time in order to gain their approval to the sale to the value of around K2 m all up as it included taking on a existing hefty bank loan , Steele &
Rimbink did the whole settlement including arranging the funds in way to be sent offshore for the expatriate seller. The sale was for the building plans and a few test holes on the said vacant block. This was before Steele took on the illustrious job of the PNG Development or Investment
Corporation which looked at privatising PNG's National Assets worth tens of millions of kina just as Rimbink has taken over Steeles former role with Wingti again as the puppeteer , the one who pulls the strings. Recall that
Steeles Government Enterprise Corporation attempts was later torn down by the incoming PM with resultant huge losses to the national coffers. Steele was recently photographed in a Australian Gold Coast Newspaper where he now lives with his partner Jillian Harcourt. Steele as a Act of Atonement confessed in Pt Moresby to the corruption payments that he & Rimbink made to the I.C. board sometime after the event in order to clear himself and restore his lost integrity to those who once promoted him in business
circles before he became a ' wire lose ' with Wingti & Rimbink Pato. At the time of Steeles original entry into PNG it was believed in close PNG business circles that he was a Australian bankrupt but this was never investigated. His Act of Atonement in telling the truth was seen by many
PNG's in the know as being entirely honourable at the time. Rimbink still acts for his offshore client( the seller) that he & Steele paid the bribes for and on behalf to the IC Board members. At Pato lawyers today Arnold Amet # 2 of the same name as the one at Waigani has the secret files

details( dates, time, place) and the tapes of him actually talking to jog his memory. Meantime we are searching for evidence on the foreign seller and his activities in PNG.
