Yeah, I know what you're talking about. Viewers of "The X Show" didn't take kindly to Daphne Brogden talking about things like feminine hygiene & trying to shove her political agenda down everybody's throat. Bert Kreischer didn't help much, either, by telling everybody those dick-brained "I Did Stupid Things While On Dope & Looked SO Cool" stories & those stupid segments he did (Remember that anal-draining segment?)

As for this VH-1 stuff? I wouldn't worry about it. Their dabbling into that realm in the mid 1990's over at MTV (their sister station) almost drove them out of business. They won't get anywhere.
