There are little (very little) camps located on Asu & Bawa - yet I HIGHLY suggest you stay at the Hinako Hideaways - it's safe, clean & great food...

The winds are better during the winter months, but it's more than likely you'll catch sick surf when you go.. You will most likely catch one of the two breaks offshore - bawa/asu because they both work on different wind directions.
