Subject: She remarked at how calm, cool and collected Lacey was - it was just another day as far as she was concerned, and she felt herself beaming with pride. She loved taking this girl around and showing her off. She took the tack from her and loaded it up, waiting for her a moment longer before taking the last of the tack, loading it in and giving the driver the go ahead, waving Lacey with her back towards her car, which they always brought in the case that they wanted to leave the showgrounds for dinner or stop somewhere on the way home.
In reply to: Lacey 's message, "
Moons and junes and ferris wheels, the dizzy dancing way you feel
As every fairy tale comes real; i've looked at love that way.
but now it's just another show. you leave 'em laughing when you go
And if you care, don't let them know, don't give yourself away.

  • She didn;t tend to get nervous at shows- she had a lot of trust in Spencer and unlike most of her competators- this wasnt the be all and end all- if she did well it was great- if they did bad it wasnt the end of the world- they could only go out there and do what they could. And Spencer was a brave little horse with a lot of talent. She jogged over to the car which they had packed the night before with all her show gear- clean breeches, boots, hat, shirt and jacket etc. She climbed intot he front passenger seat with Eliza and buckled up. She liked to ride behind the box so she could watch Spencer, not that he ever travelled badly but she was quite the mother hen. She let out a sigh as she relaxed back intot he comfortable seats of the expensive car, closing her eyes just for a moment as they headed off the property. (NT) -- Lacey, 07:55:52 01/03/07 Wed
