Author: Lacey
Subject: She arrived back at the farm in the car with Eliza, sashes and ribbons and rossettes gallor. She'd taken home champion with Harvey coming in a close reserve. She jumped out of the car when it stopped and jogged back tot he gate to close it after the horses, jogging back up behind the box till it stopped and she could drop the side ramp. She led Spencer out and towards the barn, his haynet over one shoulder, his lead loose in her hand. She spotted Ryan as soon as she headed into the barn and drew a small breath, offering him a smile as she led Spencer straight into his stall and tied his net up for him. "How'd you feel?" She asked tentatively. She had had the whole day to think on it- and she was pretty resolved to let this one pass- everyone made mistakes.

  • He watched her a moment - he was one hell of a lucky guy, he figured... he felt pretty much the same way his mother did - she was a gem and he was proud to know her.. "Shitty, if it makes you feel any better." He rose off the bale of hay he had settled on and took a few steps towards her. "We really need to talk Lacey." (NT) -- Ryan, 08:35:02 01/03/07 Wed
