Subject: They spent the next several minutes taking turns spotting and working over some combinations with the mares, schooling them - they were coming along nicely and she was sure they would be where they needed to be in a month's time, she was pleased with the progress that Lacey had been making with Ruby as well. After a bit of a cooloff and then the walk back to the barn, the mares were sheened up with dry sweat and ready for a shower before being put away. She jumped down and headed toward the bath stall with her mare, waiting for Lacey to come into the adjoining one so they could continue their chatter.

  • Lacey jumped down from the big mare and ran her stirrup irons up their leathers, bringing the reins over the mares head as she lead her back to her stable. She took of the horses tack and put on her headcollar before leading her out to the bath stalls. She took the hose and turned on the luke-warm water, washing the mare down as she continued to chat with Eliza, like they were best friends. She took off the mares tenton boots and washed them off under the hose before hosing off the mares muddy legs and washing out her feet, eventually scraping the excess water off her and covering her with a sweat-sheet to dry. She went and put her horses tack away, only to find Harvey waiting for her in the tack room. He took her by suprise and she wasn;t surequite what to say. (NT) -- Lacey, 14:22:37 01/16/07 Tue
