Lacey grinned brightly at the compliments, a soft blush colouring the apples of her cheeks just a little as she let her fingers itch at the spot just above Bella's withers where she knew she loved. She knew every single horse in the barns here- and new what each of them loved best, even the boarders in for training. She loved riding all different kinds of horses- although Bella and her Spencer were by far her favourite rides. She would trust Bella with her life and Spencer always just tried so hard to please her. "Thanks Eliza... I'm really pleased with her..." She knew that Eliza had taken the little mare on as a favour more than anything- and she'd been a sour little thing when Eliza had first sat on her, almost six years ago, Lacey was always amazed at what even a few minutes with Eliza could do for the horses that came here. They just seemed to melt in her hands. "Have you heard how Charlie is getting on at his new home?" Lacey asked curiously as she cooled the mare down- letting her stretch her neck and paces. Charlie had been a horse that had been sent for schooling and to be sold on, and Lacey had very much enjoyed working with the big gelding- Eliza had put her up on him many times and they'd jumped heights and fences that Lacey had never even dared dream of- even on Spencer.

She reached out to stroke Bella's neck, they had come a long way - that turnaround reminded her of herself too. "Why don't you cool her out then hop down here and put her up and we'll go get some lunch?" She loved taking the girl out -- even if it was for something as little as lunch - she especially enjoyed taking her shopping for horsey clothing - boots and breeches and helmets, the girl had been overwhelmed.
