It was true that they had spent a lot of money on her for her birthday, but he had used his mother's credit card most of the time and it wasn't as though the money was going to go elsewhere. She ought to learn how to live this way now. He caught an arm around her waist and pulled her to him to return her kiss. "It's nothing. Happy birthday, baby." He grinned a little, knowing that she was eager to head to the barn. He, on the other hand, wanted to get into his darkroom to see some of the shots he had gotten today but resisted, waiting on her next wish.

Nancy had had her and Eliza up on at least 10 of her horses, it had been a hugely fun day of riding, horse shopping and chatting.
