"So.. my mom and I were thinking.. we put our heads together, and we thought it would be nice to be able to enroll you in private school this fall. They've got an amazing scholarship program, and whatever wasn't covered by the scholarship, my mother wants to pay.." He pressed his lips together - this had been an issue they'd skirted around -- he'd gotten the notion that she wasn't getting what she needed out of her schooling, not enough challenge.
