"Wow.." Being an EMT, he was a big fan of modern-medicine and, even with his extensive training, couldn't imagine having a cool enough head in that situation to deliver his own baby. Other people's kids were hard enough - he'd done it a couple times over the years when there hadn't been time to get a woman to the hospital, and that had been nerve-wracking enough.
