I realize my leaving was perhaps a bit rash, and that I might regret it, but..." She sighs softly, "I saw, and still do not see, any other choice... You heard the words the King had to say about me- how could I have stayed when our ruler hated me so?" She lets her voice trail off, glancing up with still-pleading eyes...
