I did not. They tried to ban Korchnoj from international tournements. I can’t remember a international tournement where Karpov and Korchnoj played together and Korchnoj accused a Sovjey player to give away a game to Karpov.

That's right. Karpov would have never taken any risk.

Even from Karpov's own biography an unpleasant character arises. That unpleasant side of his character was/is strenghtened by the low recognation he got for his chess abilities.
