Subject: The Search II

The force assembled at Castle Black. Gathered were Karrash, Hastol, Noah, Waylander, Enya, Swarden and Andy from TDR and Myself. After briefing the group on the mission, that being to continue to seach for clues surronding Elronds reanimation. We headed off to search Lord Blackthorns castle as it seems that only his mages technology could have been responsible for creating this abomination.

After exiting the moon gate at compassion we made our way first to the Gypsie settlement where, upon discovering our destination, they did warn us of the dangers ahead. I asked them if they had seen anything, like Elrond has been described, in the area. One old crone spoke up and said that a fortnight ago a creature much like that was caught attempting to steal a horse from the stablemaster. This would have been around the timeof Elrond's first appearence and the massacre in Skara.

We made our way through the cave and into the central area. In the distance we could hear drums and the shouts of savages. A scouting party of the barbarians discoverd us and the skirmish developed that ended the lives of those that sought to drive us off.

We gave chase to one lone scout and followed him into the Savage fort. Wave upon wave of savages assaulted the group. The battle was fast and furious, finding the Nights Watch victorious. Not without a price as I and Enya both fell toward the end. The healing forces of our comerades did reunit our spirits with our earthly forms.

We proceded out of the savage encampment to our goal. The very home of Blackthorn himself. Maniacal laughter could be heard within its walls as well and the mechanical sounds of Golems, Betrayers and Juggernaughts. If any had a fear of what was to come it was not evident by the stoney look of determination on each face in the party!

We entered to find our way obstructed by Juka Warriors, Lords, Mages and Controlers. None were able to prevent our movement as the force, fighting as one, moved from room to room. Sounds around us told us that we had awakened the forces deep with in the stronghold and if we were to find anything we best be quick about it. We eventually made our way to the north west corner of the Castle and it was here that some of the group entered the monochrome regions. We had lost the initiative and it was decided that we best withdraw, to return one day with a larger force.

I am convinced more than ever after seeing what Blackthorns mages can do, that they are responsible for the thing known as Elrond, that has been terroizing the lands of the Realm, these past weeks. Only a thorough exploration will confirm that.
