Yes you can. I did, I put 74 351 heads on a 68 302 block there is minor water passages that have to be modified but the rewards are grat. Did you know that the Hipo 289/302 heads onl;y had 1.64 intake valves. When you look at 351 heads you have 1.94 intakes. They work alot better. Only things you have to watch is pre 75 head (all) are lead additive. I also deck the block and the heads. (heads .050 and block .060) This increase the compression to 9.5:1) Another increase in HP. I would elso recomend getting your heads and your intake match ported. A cost that will definately pay off.
