Subject: Erratic shifting on my 1988 Izuzu Trooper Automatic Transmission

I have a 1988 Izuzu Trooper with an Automatic transmission that shifts erraticaly when accelerating. Sometimes wont upshift at all and sometimes is slow to shift up. Sometimes it is all right. I checked and adjusted the throttle transmission cable and have checked the 3 servos in the transmission. Could this problem possibly be caused by the ECM??????? Could a poor ground from the engine to the frame possibly cause this??? I really would appreciate any and all help you can offer as I am at wits end with this.
Thanks you so much,
Gary
