Well guys - our NYC bash is going DOOOWWWNN the drain to nothingness.
Apparently RAINN (or shall I say Scott) is planning the party for us. This
is what happened. Rosemary called me saying there was a problem with the
venue. I find out some guy from Altantic Records is having a gay/lesbian
party for RAINN that same night, same time, SAME LOCATION and I was NEVER
notified. It's sponsored by 2 gay magazines. I didn't have a problem with
that...we could get together (Scott told the guy that our parties could
become one...I was still not notified). So I finally get in contact with
Peter. First he tells me that $30 or $25 at the door was too much. I told
him we needed cash to cover the $2,000 for venue rental he told me that the
same venue would give him the place FOR FREE. He wanted to charge $15 at the
door. So then I told him the deal for our raffles and auctions and what not
and he goes "Well that's not what we had in plan for our party."
Then he says to me "Listen, talk to Scott. Ask him which party he wants to
have and then that's it". Therefore guys...if Scott doesn't want us running
the party and would rather have the party with Atlantic Records (who are so
popular and can get the venue for free) then Tori's fans...the people this
party was directed to for hosting and attending WILL BE NO MORE!
How does everyone feel now eh? I feel like shit -- I have been crying for
about an hour now not knowing what to do. I have put my heart and soul into
this whole thing and now it might be gone just like that. This Atlantic guy
doesn't HAVE A GOAL TO MEET! He will only be making $$ for RAINN by the door
charge...that's it! I feel like a failure and I just don't know what to do.
This meant so much to me.
