The stallion whinnied to the mares, reassuring them of what he did not quite believe himself.
It had seemed to be an exceptionally long winter. Food was incredibly sparce, they may have to move before the end of winter if it went on much longer.
Thinking of moving, the stallion cast his mind over where they might go for Spring.
The Grasslands was always fantastic, food aplenty, even though it may get a little crowded. The Beach and Forest were also quite ok, as was the Desert.

He lowered his head and sniffed dubiously at the snow. Taking a large mouthful, his nostrils flared, sick of the taste.
