Subject: Rusty (Goofy) Gutendort 557thLE. Co.

I have been looking for anyone from the 557th I came down from I core in Dec. 71 I was in the 59th LC Co. I was one of the 830 scraper operators .I remember one guy his name was Jessie he had already done one toure and went back to the states then 1049 back to the 557th again he was Wast Virginia. The 557th built the last fire base in Vietnam where American engineers were used. It was named Fire Base Fiddlers Green. We had the 11thAc with us. When that job was done the 557th stood down and went home . I was the last man in the unit to leave on 4-5-72. Would like to hear from anyone that was their at Pho Loy and the rear was in Long Bien Later Brothers Larry Campbell
