Hi David, Yes, I remember when we constructed the concrete pad. We first constructed them for our tents, but were later used to construct the Quanset huts for the 85th Evac hospital. Willie was killed on laterite mountain. We later named our base camp near the lake after him, Camp Williams. Did you go over with us on the USS Eltinge from Ft. Ord in 65? Have you heard from any other former members? would like to hear from you and former "lizzards". I now live in Odenton, just outside of Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. (where I retired) I'm also a memebr of VVA Chapter 712, of Annapolis.
