Wheat, I also like the CZ for nickels. 80% of the time if it says it's a nickel, It's a nickel !! I use mine at the beach only. I can't semm to get it working right for me on dry land. I can't get the sens. past 4 or it beeps on both ends of my swing. I dug about 30 holes one day in a field that it said was 10+ inches and never found anything. Really good sounding targets too..Also I have tennis elbow in my swinging arm and the Fishers are heavier than my Tesoros. That difference in weight lets me keep hunting longer and hopefully more finds. But you know how that can go !!LOL..I was finding dimes in the sand at 12 inches with the CZ on Folly..Someone else was there with what looked like a whites(maybe XLT or Classic) and I didn't see them dig anything. But I found coins where they were detecting after they left. That may have been operator skill though, as they may have been rookies I don't know. That happened to me several times with my Bandido too.(but the Bandido is no good at all in the wet stuff !!!)
The V nickel was a good find ! I like to find those too !!
Any coin that's not modern is a good find to me..Wheat pennies too!!!
I ordered a 4 " coil and lower shaft for my Bandido yesterday. I think I'll wait til it comes to go back to the old house site and school.
Good luck to you and HH'ing...Maybe we can get together and hunt some sometime down that way..........Glenn.........
