I do that to most of the time, but i was flat broke this day. It was 95 out and i was so thirsty i could of drank the sweat off a cows horns..lol..I soak my pennies in non virgin olive oil over night. It seems to loosen up all the dirt and junk. Then i scrub them with a brass brush and put em in a jar. With clad nickles, dimes, and quarters, I soak them over night in jewelery cleaner and scrub em down the next day with a brass brush. My buddy has a tumbler and when he gets a jar full, he throws em in the tumbler and they come out shiney as new. I cant afford one of those right now, but i will get one......HH'ing...Chuck
