Subject: sandbar hunting and a strange phenomena

Hows it goin folks. I havent been detecting alot, because of the same reasons you guys havent. To #@$*ing hot..lol, but this past weekend i went to a sandbar on Lake Wylie, where the lack of water has bared about 4 acres of sand. Its a place when the lake is full, people can walk out all over the place and not get over waist deep.So i figured it a good place to find some jewelry and stuff. The 1st thing i found was a 64 rosey, and i kept on and found alot of clad coins and a silver trinket. I only got to hunt about an hour when these strange dark things covered the sun,and liquid was falling from the sky, its the darndest thing i ever saw. This liquid has been falling in moderation ever since. I have been working ever since monday, and wont get to go back til friday, but i believe the liquid is gonna cover my spot up.Aint that the way it goes though..lol. I find a good spot that i could hunt because of the lack of rain, and it starts raining..but i aint knockin it.
By the way , i was finding alot of square nails on that sandbar to. The lake wylie damn has only been here since the 1920's so there might have been an old house there at one time or another..maybe some good relics. I hope i get to find out. Ya'll find sumthin good out there....Chuck
