Compare an X5 with a 1270? If your friend is digging lot's of nails, no offense, he's not doing something right. Fisher assembles Troy's machines, they did not design them. It IS not a Fisher product. I've owned CZ's, Tesoros (still stand by the LST as one of the best relic machines out there), and Shadows...used Nautilus, etc. etc....right now, the X5 is the machine to beat...of course only my opinion...and we know what they say about opinions!

Take care and happy huntin' guys! Leave something for me.
