Or is it just me? Her attitude stinks and she seems to be acting rather b*tchy and PMS like. Pilar was not like this before but she's irritating me now.

Well how would you feel if your son was knocking on deaths door. She's in pain, and this is the only way she can let out her frustrations. I really feel for Pilar. She prayed and prayed and prayed for her son to come home, and when he did, he may have to leave for good now. :( It's really quite sad.

i understand her being devastated, but i think the writers could give her other things to say besides the same things over and over. and perhaps be more sympathetic to luis and sheridan.

I don't like what Pilar said and did, but I can understand what possessed her to be so horrible to Sheridan and Luis. I thought it was kind of funny how Pilar kept reminding Sheridan that the decision wasn't about her and about Antonio while Pilar went right out and made the situation about herself by wanting to give life (come hell or high water) to her eldest son who just returned to her recently after she prayed and lit candles for his arrival for years and years. What Pilar says and does often contradicts. I mean Pilar can provide for her family with Crane money that she worked for, but Theresa can't use that very same money at her disposal to help out? Arghhhhhhhh!

Great discussion guys! I understand that she's devastated for her son. We all know he's not going to die anytime soon *rolls eyes* but for the sake of the soap, lets pretend we didn't know that. Sigh. LOL

Luis has been with his family thru thick and thin. He's never left their side. Always protected his family and sacrificed his own life (meaning he didn't go to college, etc) to protect and support his momma. Now, mind you Antonio left and till this day we don't know the REAL reasoning behind it. He didn't care whether his family lived or died. He was living a new life in paradise for crying out loud. I'm not saying his life has been easy but I think he should've done things differently.

I'm also not saying Pilar should't love or deny Antonio. I know he's her son but I think her reaction was uncalled for towards Luis who has done nothing but sacrifice his life for his family. He deserves the FRIGGIN happiness he's been putting on hold for his damn family. Now they're all big and should take care of themselves.

But what do I know. I'm just rambling. hehehe

You couldn't be be more right Jacqui! Telling Sheridan not to administer the experiemental drug was the first selfless thing Antonio has done for his family, but can Luis be selfish for once in his life by letting Antonio slip away all the while respecting his brother's wishes? No. Antonio is so selfish and self-centered it's not even funny. He hasn't even given his family any explanation for leaving town and I'm sure that reason would definatly be a concern of the Lopez-Fitzgeralds.

Pilar's reactions are mixed, as anyone in her position would be. Mother's specially forget all the wrong doings of their children (easier/faster)most definately, when their child is at death's door, almost 99.9% of Mother's would lift heaven and hell to have their child live. So, right now I feel, we are seeing Pilar in a shock state and can expect anything to come out of her mouth to save her son. However, why wouldn't she have wanted the best for her son, and why they had not introduced a physciatrist in the picture, way before now, to speak to Antonio, and see that he could have been told the truth, way before this incident/marriage to Sheridan ever occured?
As a matter of fact, for the Cranes and all their money, they don't seem to feel the need to ever examine their mental state by any professional, which seems unreal for the life styles of the rich/famous liked to do, going to a "shrink".
