Subject: Shawn to the rescue?

I have a few days of taped episodes that I haven't been able to watch this week - saved for the weekend. Perhaps what I am about to say has already aired and I haven't watched yet. Anyhow, I have been reading in spoilers that Belle is handcuffed by Larry to the banister at Hope's house. She throws a vase to the floor - okay, why would you not aim the vase at the windows on the front door. The windows that Hope is constantly peering out of. They were nailed shut. That doesn't mean the glass is non-breakable.
I get so frustrated because the female characters are written to be so wimpy! My god, let them have some back-bone. On second thought - why would Belle think of something like that - she's too gullible to see through Cassie. Any idiot could spot what she's up to in a minute. Apparently, she wasn't bright enough to think of anything but giving up. I'll step down from my soap box now. I just had to get that off my chest.

LOL! Hey, we all have to get on our soapbox every now and then, lol.

I think the reason Belle didn't throw the vase towards the window is because she was so weak from the carbon monoxide poisoning. Since she couldn't throw it that far, she was probably just trying to make some noise and was hoping that the officers outside would hear it. Now if we're going to trash anybody, it should be those dufus cops who are supposedly keeping a vigil outside Bo and Hope's house. I thought they were SURROUNDING the house. *rolls eyes* Anyhoo, I'm always up for a good rescue scene. One of these days it's going to be a woman to come to the rescue. I'm just waiting patiently for that day, lol.

Caryn - you are so right about the police. Not one of them heard Belle nailing the windows shut!? Actually, it isn't the fault of any of the actors. Can you say - Help Wanted, new writers desperately needed!

Happy Birthday!

Thanks, Cheryl! :-)

You are so right about the nails! Those cops have to be deaf! BTW, did you know that there is a new writer? Her name is Dena Higley. She's been on the writing team for many years, but a few months ago they upped her to headwriter. Her stuff will begin airing some time in March, I think. Hopefully she'll turn Days around and give the fans everything they want. Oh, who am I kidding? You can't please everybody all the time, lol. I am hoping that she'll give a lot of these women some backbone though. That is something that is definitely lacking. It should be interesting to see what direction she takes the show.
